This portable, broadcast-grade dolly and track configuration allows camera operators to achieve smooth, cinema-style tracking shots using existing tripod setups, lightweight jibs, or pedestal systems.

1. Modular Track Architecture

The total length of 3.2 meters (10.5 feet) is achieved through a modular, tool-less tracking system designed for rapid assembly on location:

• The Rail Pack: The kit includes eight 80cm (31.5") aluminum rail pipes.

• Dual Parallel Layout: When paired up parallel to each other, these sections create a rigid, dual-rail track exactly 3.2 meters long.

• Screw-In Join Mechanism: The ends of the rails use high-precision male/female screw threads. Operators lock the track pieces together simply by spinning the tubes into each other, creating tight, virtually seamless physical joints.

• Structural Rigidity: The track framework is kept perfectly parallel and anchored using included heavy-duty rail clamps (fixing bars) and rubber end caps to prevent shifting.

2. Self-Centering Tracking Dolly Platform

The universal floor dolly is engineered to glide smoothly over pipe connections without introducing lens micro-jitters:

• Shock-Absorbing Wheel Trucks: The dolly features 4 high-performance, shaft-bearing polyurethane casters mounted at specialized angles. These wheels automatically self-center against the profile of the aluminum pipe.

• Anti-Derailing Skids: Integrated mechanical skids ride alongside the axle brackets. These function as physical guardrails to eliminate the risk of derailing, especially when transitioning to third-party or optional curved track configurations.

• Neoprene Tie-Downs: Standard tripod spiked feet drop directly into integrated leg cups on the dolly arms and lock firmly down using elastic, high-tension neoprene tie-down straps.

• Low-Angle Versatility: Beyond hosting a full tripod, fluid heads or specialized low-angle adapters (such as the Libec LA-110) can be mounted directly onto the center column socket of the dolly for dramatic floor-level tracking shots.

3. Heavy-Duty Dual Carrying Case Management

Because transporting a full metal tracking infrastructure can be incredibly cumbersome, Libec splits the physical components across an intelligent, multi-layered soft bag system:

• Dolly Vault Case: A dedicated, custom-padded case designed explicitly to house the collapsed tracking dolly, protecting its bearing wheels from flat spots or impact damage during transport.

• Organized Rail Bag Modules: The 8 individual aluminum rails pack down securely into compact internal soft sleeves (4 pieces per bag) to keep the pipes from clanging together or scratching.

• The Outer Master Travel Case: All internal bags dock securely into one large, heavy-duty master transport case equipped with robust top straps and a reinforced carrying handle.
