Benebones are meant for enjoyment, not consumption. Although they are quite durable, they may not be suitable for particularly aggressive chewers who might damage the product or their teeth. Every dog has a unique way of playing, and since not all toys are created the same, it’s always wise to closely monitor your pup in case things get rough. Supervised playtime can extend the life of the toy and, most importantly, ensure your furry friend stays safe. No dog toy is completely indestructible, so be sure to remove the chew from playtime if pieces start to break off.
Instructions
Watch for signs of wear and tear. Within a month or so, most dogs will chew their Benebone down significantly. Rice-sized bits are acceptable, but if it appears that larger pieces are about to come off, it’s time to get a replacement.
