It gave rise to a literature that reflected not only Jewish life but also the culture of the lands in which the Jews lived. A descriptive and flavorful language, it was used for genres as diverse as religious tales, fables, humor, social realism, surrealism, and the literary experiments of modern times. "No Star Too Beautiful" is a bountiful anthology that brings together the masterpieces of this now-vanishing tongue. Joachim Neugroschel has chosen stories emblematic of the people and their times, and this volume chronicles both the literary tradition and the history of the people who created it. Indeed, the collection contains the first English translation of medieval Yiddish fiction. Many of the early tales like "Virtuous Joseph" and "Abraham's Childhood" had Biblical roots. But there were also the fables of Moshe Vallikh and such wonder-filled folk tales as "The Princess and the Seven Geese." In the later periods, the stories reflect the varying currents of thought within the Jewish community as well as echoing the changes in Europe. Comic or tragic, Yiddish literature underwent a flowering of writers: Mendele Moykher-Sforim, Yitsik Leybesh Peretz, S. Ansky, Sholem Asch, Y.Y. and Isaac Bashevis Singer, and many others. Stylish and eye-catching watch with great value
Color: blue watch for men
This watch looks much more premium than its price suggests. The blue dial combined with the two-tone stainless steel gives it a clean and elegant appearance, making it suitable for both formal and casual wear. The diamond accents add a nice touch without feeling overdone.
The quartz movement keeps accurate time, and the date feature is convenient for daily use. The luminous hands are helpful in low-light conditions as well.
The build quality feels solid, though the band may need adjustment for a perfect fit. Water resistance is fine for everyday situations like hand washing, but I wouldn’t rely on it for heavy water exposure.
Overall, a good-looking and functional watch that offers excellent value for the price.

Great watch, would recommend

I really like this watch because it looks amazing. It’s much lighter than I expected, so it’s comfortable to wear all day at school without feeling heavy. When I first got it, the metal band was a little bit squeaky, but after wearing it for a while, the noise completely
stopped. I had to remove a few links to make it fit my wrist, but the adjustment was actually really easy to do yourself. The clasp is great too it stays closed and it doesn’t pinch my skin at all. The blue and gold colors look awesome together, and it’s definitely a great watch for the price

My new favorite watch. Simple home improvement needed

Despite having many reknown brand watches in my collection, these inexpensive Olevs watches are now my favorite.
They look nice, cost practically nothing and so far are very accurate (10 day review). Little to worry about if lost or damaged.
PROS:
1. Inexpensive $40/each.
2. As stylish as other fashion watches 5x-10x more expensive.
3. Watch Crystal (i.e., glass) has a unique, faceted shape, which reflects light, feels "Manly" and matches faceted bezel.
4. Light weight and slim case; fits small wrists nicely (I have 6.4" wrists).
5. Accurate - two watches tracked over 10 days. Watch one: -7 seconds/10 days. Watch two: +2 seconds/10 days.
6. Illuminescent (i.e., glow-in-the-dark) hands and watch face look decent in dark.
CONS:
7. Lightweight and cheap material - durability is questionable, especially coatings.
8. Bracelet/band links have excessive gaps to each other and rattle badly, making watch noisy and embarrassing. *Home fix*
9. Faceted Crystal can make it difficult to see exact time, because of light reflection.
10. Single clasp on bracelet could easily open inadvertently, vs double clasp.
11. Crown is not threaded and spins freely, even when closed (doesn't change time); likely poor water proofing and crown can easily open.
12. Difficult to set time accurately; crown movement is figity and closing crown can cause hands to easily move.
13. Second hand doesn't exactly line up with tick marks making it difficult to know if actual time is before, or after tick mark.
*AT HOME FIX*:
To fix the noisy bracelet, simply cut to length a piece of waterproof medical tape 15-16mm (5/8") wide, then attach to inside of clean bracelet, while spreading the links apart with your finger (i.e., stretch band). Do this on each bracelet, but don't cover clasp. Tape will need to be replaced, as it gets dirty, but it makes watch quiet.
