The Broken Country uses a violent incident that took place in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2012 as a springboard for examining the long-term cultural and psychological effects of the Vietnam War. To make sense of the shocking and baffling incident--in which a young homeless man born in Vietnam stabbed a number of white men purportedly in retribution for the war--Paisley Rekdal draws on a remarkable range of material and fashions it into a compelling account of the dislocations suffered by the Vietnamese and also by American-born veterans over the past decades. She interweaves a narrative about the crime with information collected in interviews, historical examination of the arrival of Vietnamese immigrants in the 1970s, a critique of portrayals of Vietnam in American popular culture, and discussions of the psychological consequences of trauma. Fun balls for a small doggie

Great for my aggressive chewers

Wears my Labs out. Fred the yellow lab chooses this pig ear over all his nyla and natural chews out of the toy box all the time. This is the 4th one in his 6 years. They have lasted long and when new are large enough I don’t have to worry about choking. As they get down in size I throw them just as a precaution. The only con I can think of is Fred loves to slam it down on the pergola floor which makes for a very loud clacky sound and it scares the $%^ out of me. He of course thinks it’s funny so he picks it up and continues to do it. As long as he and his brother Willie can chew I will always have these in their toy box.

Great chew toy for large, tough chewers

My dog is a heavy, strong chewer over 100 lbs who will chew this for an hour. It lasts, keeps him occupied and the smell isn’t terrible. Love the large size for a larger dog. Great buy.

Awesome bone for all dogs!

My dogs LOVE this pig ear! It is very lightweight and easy for any dog, from my Great Dane to my Maltipoo, to carry and chew on. It has no odor, yet the dogs were interested immediately after smelling it. The pig ear is perfect for every dog in our household and keeps them busy for hours. Since it is curved, it is easy for them to hold on to and to pick up. We have had this bone for a few weeks, and it has lasted through our little dogs, fosters, and Great Dane! The bone is very durable, and based on the previous bones we’ve gotten from Pet Qwerks, I’m guessing it’s going to last quite a while! I recommend this to anyone wanting a long-lasting bone for their pups, especially those tough chewers!
