مشہور ہندوستانی مصور،  پورا نام مقبول فدا حسین 

لیکن ایم ایف حسین کے نام سے جانے جاتے ہیں۔ 17 ستمبر 1915 کو ہندوستان میں پیدا ہوئے۔ کم عمر میں والدہ کا انتقال ہو گیا۔ جس کے بعد والد کے ساتھ اندور آ گئے جہاں انھوں نے ابتدائی تعلیم حاصل کی۔ مقبول فدا حسین بھارت کے سب سے مشہور مصوروں میں سے ایک تھے۔ بھارت کے پکاسو کے نام سے بھی مشہور حسین نے 1929 میں رنگوں کو اپنا دوست بنا لیا تھا۔ بمبئی آکر انھوں نے باقاعدہ آرٹ کی تعلیم حاصل کی۔ 1940 کے عشرے میں ان کا نام آرٹ کی دنیا میں ابھرا۔

مارچ 2006ء میں اترپردیش کے شہر ہردوار کے ایک وکیل اروند شری واستو نے حسین کی ایک پینٹنگ پر اعتراض کیا تھا اور ان کا کہنا تھا کہ پینٹنگ میں ہندو دیوی کو برہنہ انداز میں دکھایا گیا ہے۔ حسین کی اسی پینٹنگ کے خلاف کئی علاقوں میں ہندو شدت پسند تنظیموں نے مظاہرے بھی کیے اور ملک بھر کی مختلف عدالتوں میں پانچ مقدمات ہیں جن میں ہریدوار کے اس کیس کے علاوہ مدھیہ پردیش میں دو، مہاراشٹر کی عدالت میں ایک اور ایک مقدمہ دہلی کی عدالت میں چلا۔ ایک عدالت نے ان کی جائداد کی ضبطی کا بھی حکم دیا۔ جس کے بعد ان کو خود ساختہ جلاوطنی کی زندگی گزارنا پڑی۔ 2010 میں قطر کی حکومت نے ان کوشہریت کی پیش کش کی جو انھوں نے قبول کر لی۔

I'd like to add the instructions are awesome: no verbiage just step by step diagrams. Each hole drilled and ready, as well as pilot hole where the screws will be received. Each piece labeled. The instructions have in the listings the count of pieces with a notation of extra screws, so you don't think you "screwed up" when you're done. One note: as the shelves are part of the construction, they are not adjustable, in my case not a big deal.

I saw another review commenting on the difficulty lining up the nails for the back. The directions don't state which size drill bit to use for the wall anchors, but 5/16" worked well. Overall, not great but not terrible either.
