The SmallRig T5 / T7 SSD Clamp for BMPCC 6K Pro / 6K G2 (Model 3272) is a compact mechanical accessory designed to mount external data drives directly onto your camera rig.

Because recording high-bitrate video formats like 6K Blackmagic RAW (BRAW) can quickly fill expensive internal storage cards, shooting directly to consumer solid-state drives is a standard practice for Blackmagic users. The 3272 clamp provides a safe, stable mount for either a Samsung T5 or the newer, slightly larger Samsung T7 SSD, locking the drive down to eliminate the risk of dropped frames or disconnected media.

Key Engineering and Structural Features

  • Dual-Drive Adjustable Spring Matrix: Unlike single-size brackets, the 3272 utilizes a spring-loaded clamping mechanism. The interior jaw can stretch or compress to securely hold the thinner profile of the Samsung T5 or the longer, wider footprint of the Samsung T7. It includes internal rubber padding to grip the metal drive casings without scratching them.

  • Integrated Data Cable Tension Lock: The bracket features a detachable USB Type-C cable clamp that can be bolted onto the side of the mount. It locks the cable head into the drive using a manual thumbscrew, preventing the line from being accidentally tugged or shaken out during rapid handheld camerawork.

  • Flexible Cold Shoe Mount Base: The bottom of the bracket is engineered as a standard cold shoe adapter. This allows you to slide the entire assembly directly onto the top cold shoe slot of your camera body, a top handle, or any compatible video cage without using up valuable threaded holes.

  • Alternative 1/4"-20 Thread Rigging: If your cold shoe slots are already holding wireless microphones or audio receivers, the bottom base features a built-in 1/4"-20 threaded hole. You can use a standard camera screw to bolt the clamp flat against any cheese plate, side arm, or cage wall.

💡 Operational Rigging Tips for the 3272 Clamp

The Cable Shielding and Bandwidth Requirement: When writing heavy 6K RAW data streams directly to a Samsung T5 or T7, the physical connection must be flawless. While the 3272 clamp keeps the cable firmly plugged in, you must use a high-quality cable capable of handling 10Gbps data transfer (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or USB4). Standard thin USB-C cables meant for phone charging lack the internal wire shielding required for high-bitrate continuous recording. Using an inferior cable will cause the camera to drop frames or abruptly stop recording, regardless of how tightly the clamp is fastened.

  • Preventing Bracket Twist on Single Screws: If you choose to mount the 3272 clamp using its baseline 1/4"-20 thread instead of the cold shoe slide, it can occasionally twist out of alignment under heavy cable pressure. To prevent this, mount the bracket into a spot on your cage where one of its flat aluminum side walls rests flush against an adjacent structural ridge or corner of your rig. This physical block prevents rotation, keeping the SSD aligned on busy sets.

  • Protecting the USB-C Connector Port: When inserting your drive, always plug the USB-C cable into the Samsung SSD before tightening down the clamp's side cable lock. If you secure the cable clamp onto an angled or partially inserted cable head, you risk forcing the plug sideways inside the SSD socket, which can bend the internal pins and permanently ruin your storage drive's data interface.

Excellent dog balls — safe design and very durable
Style: Fetch Balls (Pack of 3), Size: 2.5 inch
These fetch balls from Amazon Basics are fantastic, and my dog absolutely loves them. One of the biggest reasons I prefer these over other brands is the hole that runs through the center of the ball. This is a very important safety feature: if a dog were to accidentally get the ball stuck in the back of the throat, the hole allows air to pass through. That small detail could literally make a life-saving difference. Aside from the safety benefit, they bounce well, are easy to clean, and hold up to a lot of playtime. They’re firm but not rock-hard, and my dog goes crazy for them. Great value, great quality, and a thoughtful design. Highly recommended for dog owners who want a safer alternative to standard solid rubber balls.

Great ball for heavy chewers
Style: Assorted Balls (Pack of 3), Size: 2.5 inch
Great toy for my Doberman. She chews through tennis balls in about 15 minutes but these are very durable. She likes to chase them but also just chew on them.

My dog loves glowing fetch at night!
Style: Glow Balls (Pack of 3), Size: 2.5 inch
Fantastic. Sturdy. My dog loves them Glow in the dark is great for fetch at night. I keep a flashlight with me because the glow doesn't last really long. But they charge very quickly and are really bright.

Indestructible
Style: Fetch Balls (Pack of 2), Size: 3 inch
These balls are indestructible! We have a lab and a lab mix and they CANNOT damage these balls. They love them for fetch and to just chew on them (slightly squishy, but NO damage). Best toys we have bought for them.
