The first of John N. Oswalt's two-part study of the book of Isaiah for the NICOT series, this commentary on chapters 1 39 combines theological acumen, literary sensitivity, philological expertise, and historical knowledge to present a faithful and accurate reading of one of the Old Testament's most important books. In the introduction to this work, Oswalt considers Isaiah's background, unity of composition, date and authorship, canonicity, Hebrew text, theology, and problems of interpretation, and he offers a select bibliography for further research. Oswalt also provides substantial discussions of several issues crucial to the book of Isaiah. He notes, for example, that scholars often divide Isaiah into three divisions, with chapters 1-39 addressing Isaiah's contemporaries in the eighth century B.C., chapters 40-55 presupposing the exile of the sixth century, and chapters 56-66 presupposing the eventual return from exile. While taking this scholarship into account Oswalt defends the unity of the prophetic book and argues convincingly that the whole book can be attributed to the Isaiah of the eighth century. The commentary proper, based on Oswalt's own translation of the Hebrew text, provides pastors, scholars, and students with a lucid interpretation of the book of Isaiah in its ancient context as well as an exposition of its message for today.Binding Type: Hardcover

Super comfortable from the first wear! Unique soles
Size: 10, Color: White Khaki
My husband actually picked these shoes out and bought them for me without my knowledge for a vacation we were going on. When I discovered he had bought me some sandals I assumed they would likely be super uncomfortable, too narrow, weird looking etc lol. I definitely didn’t give him enough credit. I absolutely love these shoes! They are incredibly comfortable! They match pretty much everything. The bow at the toes is so cute! The soles are a very cool sturdy and hard almost wood like material, while also feeling like a dream to wear. I ended up wearing them with my bathing suits, my shorts, my sundresses and even a couple of dressy outfits! I pretty much kept them on the whole vacation and ignored the 10 other pairs I wasted time and space packing. I don’t know what it is with these shoes but even o. Days we were walking really long distances at the beach or on days I was running all over the cruise boat from dusk til dawn, I never once felt uncomfortable in these and felt just the opposite in fact. I often get achey feet too; but it didn’t happen with these. Whether I was strolling the deck, dancing in the club, or standing waiting in long buffet lines, these shoes had me feeling fancy free and footloose.

The best sandals EVER
Size: 8, Color: White Khaki
These flip flops are so so so comfortable. I have bunions and a nerve problems so finding the right shoe is an issue for me. These are the most comfortable flip flops I have ever had the pleasure to wear. I cannot recommend enough how good and natural these feel. They are flexible yet supportive. So far on vacation they have walked miles with me and still in great condition. They are so naturally light weight. I will be buying again for sure

Most comfortable flip flops ever! From day 1!
Size: 7.5, Color: White Khaki
These are hands down the most comfortable flip flops ever. There is no 'break-in' period. The fabric is so soft you forget it's there and it doesn't rub between your toes at all. By the second full day of wear, the foam was starting to conform to the contour of my feet. They feel and look great. The bottoms have a nice triangle tread pattern on them instead of being totally flat so I'm hoping they will still get traction on wet floors like pool areas etc. I got them after nearly doing a split again in my old ones that were a safety hazard poolside.

Nice flip flops
Size: 7, Color: Grey
Nice looking flip flops. They feel good and well made, but I've only worn them for a few hours. The material that goes over the feet is almost too stretchy. I hope they don't stretch out more. I have wide feet and these fit great, true to size. I like the grey color.

Love the material!
Size: Large, Color: Black
Very soft and beautiful material. The size was perfect. It works well for layering and can also be dressed up. It is not clingy at all. The quality is great.
