On May 31-June 1, 2004, the Pastors’ Fellowship Steering Committee met at Locust Springs Christian Retreat Center in Greeneville, Tennessee, for the sole purpose of studying the question of entire sanctification as revealed through scripture. Three papers were written by three different writers. They were, “What Is Sanctification?” by William Neece, a pastor for many years and currently an evangelist in the Church of God; “The Carnal Mind and Purity,” by Dr. John Conley, past president of Gulf Coast Bible College (Mid-America Christian University) and current president of Circleville Bible College; and “The Empowerment Given,” by H. Gerald Rudd, current pastor of Greeneville First Church of God in Greeneville, Tennessee. 

he purpose of the meeting was to come to a common understanding about the question of entire sanctification. Presenters had two hours to present their papers and to allow for discussion. At the end of that time, there was a general agreement that these papers are representative of the Biblical teaching on this subject.
