For added convenience, it also features an LED charge level indicator to monitor battery charge. The 18-Volt LXT 4.0Ah battery (BL1840) is compatible only with Star Protection tools, indicated by the Star Symbol and/or Yellow Battery Receiver under the tool. Makita 18-Volt Lithium-Ion batteries resist self-discharge so they’re ready for use even after long periods of storage. The Makita Rapid Optimum Charger (sold separately) is a smart-charging system that communicates with the battery during the charging process to monitor current, voltage and temperature. Works well, worth buying.

Works really well. I wish the attachments were easier to get off without feeling like you are going to break them. I use a butter knife to pry it off carefully. I like having the case too, it works well if you need to travel with it.

The best hand frother

UPDATE: I bought this hand mixer in July 2025 and used it almost every day. It’s an incredibly good product, durable, reliable, and very easy to use. It comes with a charger, and the battery lasts a long time also it included a metal stand to hold it. Sadly it stopped working about a week ago (April 2026), but the best part is that it comes with a two-year warranty. It was very easy to contact customer support via email, they responded the same day, and I received a free replacement just a few days later.
The new unit is the same product with the same accessories, but instead of just a stand, it now comes with a charging base, which is a fantastic and very practical upgrade.
This is the best hand frother I’ve ever purchased. Even after almost a year of use, the accessories are still in perfect condition, and the customer service was excellent. I 100% recommend it.
