“Mila, Mila Dòdeka...” Twelve Apples...” The apple, like the quince and the pomegranate, is a symbol of life and death. It is linked to the cult of Persephone, daughter of Demeter, goddess of fertility, abducted in the prime of her youth by Hades, the god of the underworld. For having eaten a pomegranate seed, Persephone cannot return to the world of the living, except for part of the year. Dividing herself between light and darkness, she gives rise to the continuous cycle of the seasons. A Hellenic religiosity whose myths and rites still live in the Terra d’Otranto of the seventeenth century, as shown by the lullabies collected here. Lullabies sung in Griko, the language of a migrant people, with sounds pregnant with the pain of farewell and the anxieties of the journey. A language that survived in Salento, a land of passage, along with other myths and rites that are collected here according to a succession of moments of life and death. Life and Death go together, in a continuum between what one takes and offers to the other. Thus, one moves from the funeral lament to the lullaby, from frenzied dance to the lament for the tarantula's bite. In the same way, a lullaby for the departure of a child transforms into a nursery rhyme for newborns, rocked on the knees by the grandfathers' bium-bò and accompanied by the reassuring voice of mothers. In the shelter of a fortified farm, with a small chapel on the edge of a track that reverberates like a cathedral, what emerged from scattered plots and momentary intuitions was collected. According to Baroque practice, and popular tradition, each performance has its own story; the notes, when present, are above all signs, directions. For the rest, there is the moment, in this case, that of the recording, where, unlike a concert, one mainly addresses oneself. In this setting of contemplation and continuous discovery, pieces and texts by known and unknown authors from Terra d'Otranto and the cultures still present in Terra d'Otranto in the seventeenth century were brought back to life after four centuries: their legacy is like the twelve apples that the mother gives to her dead son as a viaticum. What we hope is to be able to preserve it for those who will come... Ti tuso kosmo presta trapassei”... Because this world soon passes!

On the fence...
Will be updating review after I have used it for more than a week. But so far here are the pros and cons: Pros: Smells good Seems like a little goes a long way Easy to apply Cons: Not sure if this is because I didn't use Sulfate free shampoo, but felt like with one wash I didn't get all the product out of my hair, so when It dried, it still looked greasy/oily Will be washing my hair again with sulfate free shampoo, then will do another application in another day or so. it says to use 2-3 times a week, so I'll use it 3 times a week for 2 weeks and then come back and update my review. But so far, it seams like a good product and for the money, it's a fair value.

Best Shampoo/Conditioner I Have Ever Used
Scent: Nettle, Scent: Nettle
I purchased the Nettle Shampoo in hopes of getting my hair back to health after frying it off with bleach. I used it for the first time today and it is my favorite thing I have ever purchased for my hair. The smell of this is divine. I am not a sweet gourmand fan and this is just the most fresh scent I ever smelt I think. It honestly smells like a high end salon shampoo/conditioner duo. That is my favorite part about this product. Second favorite is that it actually does work soooo well! I put in quite a bit of oils and hair care before washing my hair and all of those oils were removed without leaving any waxy greasy feel to my hair. I was concerned it wouldn’t come out because this shampoo is 99% lather free. But it worked SO GOOD! It doesn’t feel dried out and brittle either. It’s just perfect I can’t stress it enough. 10/10 I wish there were more way I can say how much I adore this product. I have very fine hair by the way and it doesn’t weigh it down. I will keep using this and will update in maybe a month with pictures! Here’s the update: I used the shampoo and conditioner for idk probably a month. I’m not really sure. BUT I still absolutely love it. In the pictures I am going to attach, you can see that I had a decent amount of growth (the hair from the root that looks gray). My hair is quite oily after other hair care products were added so that’s why it looks the way it does. One more thing, the shampoo is very drying on the scalp I have noticed a little bit of dandruff and itchiness right after washing but I believe my scalp is getting used to it now because it’s getting less and less noticeable after every use. Keep in mind my hair had been chemically treated during the first week of use multiple times including bleach and box dye so that’s probably why it was irritated. I still absolutely adore the scent and the way it leaves my hair feeling light and clean and shiny and SOFTTT!

Great product, poorly designed bottles.
Scent: Onion Unscented
I like this product! However, the bottles are heavy, bulky and awkward, what a waste of plastic. The design is poor. The conditioner top was broken, and the product was so thick it was very hard to try and get out of the unyielding bottle when I unscrewed it. Had to ask for a replacement. But it smells great and leaves my hair very soft. I had gotten one for my mother (87) but the bottle was a little much for her, too bad. There's less in it than what it looks like, as it has an inner, smaller container. A lot of trouble and cost to save a small amount of product.

Great product for damaged bleached hair
Scent: Keratin
Great shampoo and conditioner. Smooths the frizzy ends. I bleach my hair and I am unhappy that this product appears to have washed or altered the toner. I have platinum bleached hair and I put a pale blonde toner on it. I waited 4 days after I bleached and toned my hair to use your product and the end result was yellow hair not that beautiful pale blonde color. I will play around with purple shampoo and your product to see if I can find a happy medium because I do love the silky feeling on my damaged over-processed hair. Thanks for developing such a wonderful product for damaged hair
