Dầu mè cay Maru được làm từ loại dầu mè chất lượng có mùi thơm đậm đà kết hợp với tinh dầu ớt, cả hai hòa quyện đều với nhau tạo nên độ cay hoàn hảo và tinh tế giúp cho món ăn trở nên cay thơm hấp dẫn và có màu sắc đẹp mắt.

Dầu mè cay thường được sử dụng như một loại dầu gia vị cho vào giai đoạn gần hoàn thành món ăn khi chế biến hoặc pha làm sốt trộn, chấm hay tẩm ướp, trộn salad, làm sốt chấm, ăn trực tiếp với cơm, cháo,…chỉ một lượng nhỏ dầu mè cũng đủ tạo ra hương vị thơm quyến rũ.

Ở Hàn, người dân thường hay sử dụng loại gia vị này để chế biến ra nhiều món ngon như miến trộn (Japchae), cơm trộn Bibimbap, chấm bạch tuộc luộc với dầu mè, canh thịt bò cay yukgaejang, bạch tuộc xào cay, các loại rau củ xào,...
