Double vinyl LP pressing. 2010 release from this Swedish band featuring José González (guitar, vocals), Elias Araya (drums) and Tobias Winterkorn (organ, moog). Their first single came out in 2000 and they self-released the Black Refuge EP in 2006. They released the 'Chickens/Azaleadalen' single in 2009..Junip has periodically gathered together and recorded when schedules permitted, but this is the first time the members will focus exclusively on the band. Their sound can be familiar to those who have listened to González's critically acclaimed records, but added to the mix on top of his nylon stringed guitar and distinctive voice are organs, synths and drums. The songs are often dynamic, melodic and shadowy.

Didn't get a lot out of it
My wife got me this for a Christmas present. Having previously made it through Eusebius' "Proof of the Gospel", she figured I could handle it. I know this is part of Zondervan's Academic product line and as such is not aimed at a general audience. What I discover was that if the audience lacks credentials in Philosophy or Theology, the incessant use of jargon and terminology that would most often only be encountered in a Seminary or Religious College is something I found off-putting.

Wright and Bird do an excellent job of discussing the New Testament. They offer insights from the most widely held opinions and then offer their own with a multitude of resources. It is an excellent resources within its self.

Best-in-class New Testament study
Format: Paperback
Excellent “Summa of the Summa” from NT Wright, a major modern theologian. Suitable for serious Catholic bible study, but not for lightweights. DVDs could be improved with more active material, and Bird’s Aussie accent is problematic for some US audiences.
