This is a memoir that begins in 1978 and jumps back to the 1960s before coming back to the present again. It is the story of a child born with cystic fibrosis, the beginning and life of a child who was raised to live and be happy, not to hide and prepare for the end. She was a vibrant child whose life made a difference to family members and written as a tribute so that her brother and sister could learn to know their older sister. Cystic fibrosis is a life debilitating disease that often affects children and sometimes is not diagnosed until early childhood. The author's daughter was diagnosed the day she was born.

Chrissy has Cystic Fibrosis. The Mayo Clinic defined the children's disease as a life-threatening disorder that causes severe damage to the lungs and digestive system. It is an inherited condition and affects the cells that produce mucus, sweat and digestive juices. These secreted fluids are normally thin and slippery. But in Cystic Fibrosis, a defective gene causes the secretions to become thick and sticky. Instead of acting as a lubricant, the secretions plug up tubes, ducts and passageways, especially in the lungs and pancreas. Cystic Fibrosis is most common in white people of Northern European ancestry, but also occurs in Hispanics, African-Americans and some Native Americans. It is rare in people of Asian and Middle Eastern origin. Cystic Fibrosis requires daily care, most people with the condition are able to attend school and with treatment, many children have lived into young adulthood.

The memoir brings this young girl from infancy until she gives up the fight. Her mother's life is turbulent until she learns to stand on her own two feet at the age of twenty three years old. Trials and tribulations, lots of baggage and a strong will to live, smile and dream brings the story to fruition.

Lots of Fun!
My Toy Cavapoo loves her bunnies. Good size for small dogs. She enjoys pulling each bunny out and tossing around. Bunnies also squeak which is a big plus for her.

Brilliant fun for dog, except for...
I have a 3yo German Shepherd Dog (GSD) and he can be very hard on toys. On days 1 and 2 he had such fun and we laughed at his good times! Then...Day 3...cue the Jaws Music... While I was away for 10 minutes, he dismantled the ball into tiny pieces! Even so, the ball continued to light up, make sounds and entertain my GSD!! Coolest dog toy ever! If you have a heavy chewer....watch out! Otherwise, I highly recommend!!

Disappointing Dog Toy – Short-Lived and Ineffective
I purchased this dog toy hoping it would keep my dog entertained and engaged, but unfortunately, it has been a huge disappointment. The first one I received only worked for about an hour before completely stopping. I decided to give it another chance and ordered a second one, hoping it was just a fluke. Unfortunately, the second one lasted even shorter—only 30 minutes—before completely ceasing to function. It no longer vibrates, rotates, or interacts in any way. Even when fully charged, the toy barely lights up and doesn’t do anything useful. This is a terrible product, and I’m genuinely shocked by the positive reviews. Save your money—this toy is not worth it.

My dog loves it
My Aussie loves it and he is a tough chewer as well, so it goes great with his hyper reactive personality. Durability could have been a little better, sometimes I have to take it apart and make sure it’s still in a good position because my dog will pick it up and drop it. With no cushion it did start malfunctioning at about 2 weeks. However, it does still work fine and he loves it even without the movement. Note if you put it in a sock to protect it, my dog goes dangerous and held the sock and created a slingshot lol.
