This exquisite butterfly brooch is an original sculpture from the hands of a beloved jeweler, inspired by an original piece from the Art Nouveau period. This statement piece is grand and graceful and the undulating contours of this brooch suggest the texture of actual butterfly wings, lightly lacquered in a muted palette of blue, aqua and violet. The wings are detailed in tiny iridescent amethyst crystals and the body is accented in pear cut stones of the same color. The "cells" of the wings are pierced to allow the color of the fabric you are wearing to show through. Dimensions: 3-1/4" wing span. 3" from top to bottom.  Hand burnished bronze.
