“Villa el Salvador” is a young town on the Peruvian coast of the Pacific Ocean, where David Soto Chero spent the first ten years of his life; the group, also composed of Pasquale Cosco and Marco Catinaccio, was born with this name in the summer of 2004, and since then has mainly worked in Latin-Jazz; it is only in the encounter with Nina that a new path is undertaken in Italian song and in the composition of original pieces, without forgetting, of course, Spanish, David's mother tongue.
Thus, ten captivating and very appealing songs flow seamlessly. These are mainly original songs, with lyrics in Italian, but above all in Spanish: from "Che guardano te" to "Vinho amargo", to the title track "Lentogodendo", a very fresh samba sung in a vocal duet by Nina and Giorgio Gobbo; and then again "Avenida meeks", "Llevame al rio", "Si supieras", "Samba etè". There are also two gems, two covers of famous songs such as "Ancora, ancora, ancora", interpreted with a very marked South American rhythm, and the beautiful "L'orologio americano" by Ivano Fossati.
Valuable guests on this project: Alejandro Martinez on backing vocals, Vincenzo Titti Castrini on accordion, Juan Carlos Rivera Cadenas “Pelao” on pan flute.
The recording and artistic production of this album were carried out by Alejandro Martinez in his Studio A in Padua and it was mixed and mastered by Marco Lincetto, with Martinez himself. All, of course, in high-resolution digital 24/88.2
