Her passion for education and knowledge led her to a life of self-education. Her formal education began when both her sons were already in college. She has questioned and attempted to understand how one goes beyond survival and turn difficult experiences into personal growth. About the Author

Nina Kaleska holds an Associate degree in sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters degree in Rhetoric and Communication from Temple University. She was one of the winners of the Concert Artists Guild voice competition, made her professional debut with the City Symphony of New York, sang with the Philadelphia Grand Opera and The Washington Opera Society. She was a member of the voice faculty of the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia and taught voice to students from the University of Pennsylvania, Bryn Mawr and Haverford Colleges. For the past fifteen years she has held the position of Director of the Educational Benefit Program for United Food and Commercial Workers, Local 1776 and Participating Employers Health and Welfare Fund. Nina is actively involved in dialogues that bring greater understanding between Christians and Jews. She is an ardent devotee of music, opera, ballet, theatre and an avid reader. She is the mother of two sons and lives in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
