Power your small office network with a reliable, secure, and affordable networking powerhouse. The Cisco Business 350-12XT Managed Switch is designed to be a critical building block for modern operations, delivering unwavering connectivity for workstations, printers, VoIP phones, and cloud applications. Built for simplicity and scale, this 12-port managed switch blends enterprise-grade features with an approachable management experience, helping teams stay productive while IT budgets stay under control. Whether you’re expanding a home office into a bustling small business or upgrading an established workspace, the 350-12XT offers robust performance, intelligent security, and flexible management that grows with your needs.

  • High-performance design for small offices. With twelve Gigabit Ethernet ports and reliable uplink options, this switch handles normal office workloads—from file sharing and backups to video meetings and real-time collaboration. The compact form factor and quiet operation make it ideal for desktop or rack-mount deployment, ensuring your critical devices stay connected without adding clutter or noise to the workspace.
  • Advanced network segmentation and security. Create secure, isolated network segments with VLAN support and robust access controls. The 350-12XT lets you implement quality of service (QoS) policies to prioritize voice and video traffic, reduce jitter during crucial calls, and keep mission-critical applications responsive. Built-in security features help safeguard your network from common threats, giving IT teams peace of mind as users access cloud services and sensitive data.
  • Flexible connectivity with 12 ports and dual uplinks. The 12 Gigabit Ethernet ports accommodate a variety of devices, while two uplink options provide scalable connectivity to a core switch or router. This configuration supports efficient growth—you can add more devices, segment traffic, and maintain strong performance even as your office expands or your cloud footprint grows.
  • Effortless management and cloud visibility. Designed for ease of use, the Cisco Business 350-12XT offers streamlined management through intuitive web-based interfaces and CLI access. Monitor traffic patterns, apply security policies, and deploy VLANs with confidence. For administrators who want visibility beyond the local network, Cisco’s cloud-enabled management options provide centralized oversight, enabling simple remote management and rapid provisioning across multiple switches in a growing environment.
  • Energy-efficient, compact, and reliable. The 350-12XT emphasizes energy efficiency and reduced heat output, helping to lower operating costs in fully deployed office setups. Its sturdy construction and reliable hardware deliver consistent performance under typical office workloads, while features like energy-aware Ethernet help minimize power usage during periods of lower network activity. This combination of efficiency and dependability makes it a practical long-term investment for small businesses seeking reliability without compromise.

how to install Cisco Business 350-12XT

Setting up the Cisco Business 350-12XT is a straightforward process that gets your network running quickly while laying a solid foundation for future growth. Begin by choosing an appropriate installation location—prefer a cool, well-ventilated area that allows for ample airflow. If you plan to rack-mount the switch, confirm there is enough space in your equipment rack and have the mounting kit ready. For desk setups, ensure the device has room to breathe and is not obstructed by cables or other equipment that could impede airflow or accessibility.

1) Unbox and inspect: Remove the switch from its packaging and verify that you have all necessary accessories, including power cables and any mounting hardware. Inspect the unit for any obvious shipping damage and confirm that the model matches what you ordered. If you notice any issues, contact your vendor promptly before powering on.

2) Connect your network: Decide on your topology. If you are integrating this switch into an existing network, connect the 350-12XT to your router or core switch using one of the uplink/SFP ports. Attach your end devices—workstations, printers, IP phones, and servers—to the 12 Gigabit Ethernet ports. If you plan to use VLANs, designate the appropriate ports and prepare to assign VLAN IDs in the management interface.

3) Power up and access management: Plug the switch into a reliable power source. Use a computer connected to the same network wirelessly or via Ethernet and access the switch’s management interface through the default IP address provided in the setup guide. If your network uses DHCP, the switch should obtain an IP automatically; otherwise, you may need to configure a static IP to access the GUI for initial setup.

4) Configure basic settings: Begin with essential configurations such as device name, management access credentials, and administrative passwords. Set up VLANs to segment traffic according to your organization’s security and performance requirements. Create at least one management VLAN or enable secure remote management protocols (SSH/SSL) to protect administrative access. Establish QoS policies to prioritize voice and video traffic and configure port security settings to deter unauthorized devices from connecting to your network.

5) Enable security and monitoring: Implement ACLs to restrict traffic between segments as needed, and enable monitoring features to observe traffic patterns. If your rollout includes cloud-based management, link the switch to the Cisco Business Dashboard or your preferred cloud management solution to enable centralized visibility, firmware updates, and configuration backups. Finally, save your configuration and perform a quick health check to verify link status, throughput, and VLAN tagging across the network. Routine maintenance—firmware updates, backup of configurations, and security reviews—will help preserve performance and security as your network evolves.

6) Test and document: After configuration, test connectivity across all endpoints, verify application performance (especially for real-time communications and cloud workloads), and document the network layout. A well-documented topology with VLAN IDs, port assignments, and security policies will simplify future upgrades and troubleshooting. Regularly review analytics from the management interface to ensure the network remains aligned with business needs and to quickly identify any anomalies before they impact users.

Good Product
Color: White, Size: 15.7 Inches
Well designed and sturdy. Though not real wood I think they will last. It took me an hour to install the first shelf. That was all on me. I was slow measuring and placing the shelf bracket. I kept dropping the level and doing other crazy things. But the second and third shelves were easy after I learned what I was doing. Even though the screws, etc were provided I used Easy Anchor drywall anchors rated at 50 pounds. Just drill it in the sheet rock then screw the screw through the hole in the bracket until it clicks, (you have to listen). That means the ends of the plastic anchor flips out like a toggle bolt. Continue tightening the screw and that is it. Think I read somewhere that the board wobbles. These were tight as could be and no wobble. I did learn to only "tighten" just one end of the bracket sort of snug and let it hang. Then raise it to level and mark the other holes with a pencil. Don't put the other screws in until you are sure you can see the plastic anchors' holes though the bracket. Then place and tighten all the screws. The only negative I saw was that they could have sent the same or similar anchors that I have. But they didn't call me. Guess they didn't have my number.

Quality Assurance Lacking
Color: White, Size: 15.7 Inches
The first set I ordered was great; super easy to install, no issues. The second set I ordered the holes on the bottom of the shelves did not match up with the holes on the bar that secures the shelves to the wall so it was impossible to attach the shelves correctly. I'm still trying to figure out a solution. TO SUMMARIZE: First set perfect; second set unusable

These shelves are fantastic! The quality is excellent, assembly was quick and easy, and they look great once installed. They have a much more expensive appearance than their price suggests. I’m very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend them.
