Faitiche present the launch of it's new Acoustic Surveillance Series. Each 7" vinyl single in the series presents a historical system for acoustic surveillance, beginning with Uguisubari by Jan Jelinek's field records' pseudonym G.E.S.. The pieces feature recordings of uguisubari - special floors in Japanese temples and castles. The nightingale floor was a popular acoustic warning system. It was very simple: when someone stepped on the floorboards, the nails holding them in place rubbed against metal clamps mounted on the underside of the boards, raising the alarm by creating a squeaking noise that resembled the chirping of the Japanese nightingale.

Nice unit
Using this for deterring my hot rod being stolen. Good price for this. Installation was no surprises and just let them try to steal my hot rod now. First one that was ordered arrived damaged, went through the process of getting a replacement which was simple and received the replacement in a couple of days.

Failed after 2 months
Failed after about 2 months of being used as a battery isolator. When activated, only passes about 2 volts though the contacts on a 12 volt circuit now. Wasted my time and money.

Works great
I used this to turn on with key on power in my truck. Power then goes through this and turns on my key on fuse panel. That way I can run a much larger cable from the battery to the fuse panel instead of pulling power through the ignition switch, where power output is limited. So far it doesn't get hot, though I am not running anything close to 500 amps through it. More like 75 amps max and even then it's only sometimes. No problems so far.

Heavy duty and has lasted three years so far
I have had this relay installed in the engine bay of my Lexus RX 300, functioning to link the front battery to the additional battery in the trunk whenever the ignition is on. The relay has worked reliably for about three years now with no complaints besides one minor comment, be careful when threading down the nut on the Low voltage side. It is prone to stripping
