The APC by Schneider Electric Power Cord Kit is a purpose-built solution for organizing and securing power connections in rack environments. This 6‑pack of locking cords with 90-degree C13 to C14 terminations is designed to streamline cable management between rack-mount PDUs and attached IT equipment, freeing up valuable space while enhancing reliability. Each cord measures 1.8 meters, providing flexible routing options for densely populated racks without crowding or kinking cables. The locking feature is enabled when used with APC AP8000 series Rack PDUs, delivering an extra layer of protection against accidental unplugging in high-density deployments. Whether you manage a data center, a server room, or a telecom rack, this kit helps you build a cleaner, safer, and more dependable power distribution setup.

  • Exclusive cord retention method frees up space and securely links PDU outlets to IT devices, reducing cable clutter and minimizing the chance of unplanned power loss during maintenance or rearrangements.
  • Locking design that enhances reliability by helping cords stay seated in place, even in environments with movement or routine equipment servicing, while remaining compatible with standard IEC receptacles and power inlets.
  • 90-degree C13 to C14 connectors maximize clearance in tight rack spaces, enabling neater cabling paths, improved airflow, and easier access for maintenance tasks behind dense equipment shelves.
  • Six cords per kit, each at 1.8 meters, offering ample length for common rack layouts and the flexibility to connect multiple devices across different rows or tiers without stretching or tension.
  • Designed for use with APC AP8000 series Rack PDUs to unlock the full locking capability; compatible with a wide range of IT gear thanks to standard IEC interfaces, while delivering enhanced retention and peace of mind in critical deployments.

How to install APC by Schneider Electric Power Cord Kit (6 EA), Locking

  • Confirm compatibility: Ensure you are using APC AP8000 series Rack PDUs to maximize the locking feature; the cords will fit standard IEC receptacles and inlets beyond APC hardware, but the locking functionality is designed for AP8000 deployments.
  • Power down and plan routing: Shut down affected equipment and the PDU before cabling. Plan a clean route that minimizes bend radius and avoids obstructing airflow or access panels.
  • Connect with intention: Attach the C14 end to the PDU outlet designated for device power, and connect the C13 end to the IT equipment inlet. Route the cords along cable management channels or between rails to keep them secure and out of the way.
  • Engage the lock (when applicable): When using with an AP8000 series Rack PDU, engage the locking mechanism as described for that model to secure each cord connection. If the locking feature does not engage with non-AP8000 PDUs, ensure the connector seats firmly and remains stable during operation.
  • Secure and test: After all cords are connected, gently tug each to confirm retention. Tidy the cables with zip ties or organizers to maintain airflow and accessibility. Power devices back on and verify that each connection remains secure under normal operation.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is included in the kit? The kit contains six locking power cords with C13 to C14 (90-degree) terminations, each 1.8 meters long.
  • Are these cords compatible with all APC PDUs? The locking feature is designed for use with APC AP8000 series Rack PDUs, but the cords also fit standard IEC receptacles and inlets for general power connections. The locking functionality may not engage on non-AP8000 PDUs.
  • What makes the locking cords different from standard IEC cords? The locking mechanism provides a secure connection that resists accidental unplugging, which is especially valuable in high-density or vibration-prone environments where cables can shift during maintenance or equipment movement.
  • How long are the cords? Each cord is 1.8 meters in length, offering flexible routing options across typical rack layouts.
  • Can I use these cords without the locking feature? Yes, the connectors will function as standard C13 to C14 power cords for typical IEC power connections; the full locking advantage is realized when used with AP8000 series PDUs.
  • Do the cords improve airflow in the rack? By consolidating and routing cables more cleanly with 90-degree connectors, these cords help minimize cable clutter that can impede airflow and complicate cable management in dense racks.

Clean ingredients, nice soap overall but doesn’t have the best lather
4-stars because it doesn’t lather great, but all smell good and my skin is happy— good quality overall! Clean ingredients just as advertised. Just as a side note, the loofa bag it comes with is a bit too rough for my skin so I’ve been using a washcloth.

Great Value
I'm always looking for a deal on hand and body soap. For the price and what you get they're great. A couple of them aren't my favorite smells, but then again, that's the trade off I made.

"Bowser, those Chinese never did stand a chance." - Marine general O.P. Smith
Format: Hardcover
The signs was already there. To anyone that bothered to look. But prejudice and victory fever had blinded the top brass to what was unfolding on the ground. Luckily for the men on the ground, there was one top brass that saw the signs, and acted on it. That was the overall situation for the men of the 1st Marine division and the 7th Army division in November 1950. While McArthur and his entourage were busying themselves with the planning of victory parades in Tokyo and promoting a 'Home by Christmas' atmosphere to the press, general O. P. Smith was already laying the ground work for what would determine the outcome of the Chosin reservoir campaign. In the surrounding snow covered hills and mountains, a vast number of Chinese soldiers from the 9th Army was being rushed into position to spring the trap that McArthur and Almond was walking into. What followed was a series of battles that was almost as brutal as the weather. I say almost, because the biggest killer of Chinese troops, wasn't American bombs and bullets, but the winter. One of the coldest in Korean history. Accompanied by the howling wind sweeping down from Manchuria and Siberia. Both sides made their share of mistakes. McArthur, for rejecting any intel showing that Chinese troopes were in Korea. General Song Shilun, who's troops had been told American soldiers were 'paper tigers'. As such, the PLA, anticipating a quick and easy victory, withheld winter cloths and issued only 2-3 days worth of rations while ordering their troops to make a 60 mile forced march from the border, across snow covered forests and mountains, to the reservoir. When the order to attack came, the troops were already in the early stages of starvation. Not only did the Marines held their ground, they annihilated the Chinese units. To make matters worse, their primitive means of communication made it impossible to coordinate their attacks. While as the Marines, despite being surrounded, was able to grind the Chinese units down through a combination of Marine Air Wing, combined arms and gung ho spirit. That, and general Smiths precautions allowd both the Marines and the Army units to fight their way out of a calamity caused by the prejudicial ignorance of McArthur and Almond.
