The Opal RFX is a robust external 35 metre PIR intruder detector, designed to detect and transmit reliable event-based triggers to the weatherproof RFX-3 Receiver. Maximum communication range 150 metres using 433MHz wireless transmission.

Requires 2 x AAA batteries, not supplied.

Security Installation Tips

Only use Alkaline batteries in the detectors, they won’t work with Lithium batteries. 2x AAAs needed for each detector.

Recommended installation heights are 1.5, 3 and 6 meters.

The three outputs on the receiver can be used to integrate a CCTV system, as well as controlling the security lights, they can be configured N/O or N/C.

Low Battery and RF loss terminals on board the receiver will notify you when something needs addressing.

Radio distance from receiver to detectors is 150 meters line of sight.

Unless it is a controlled environment, use a pulse setting of 2 on the detectors – this will increase stability.
