By: Anita Diamant
From beloved New York Times bestselling author and award-winning journalist—the definitive guide to Judaism’s end-of-life rituals, revised and updated for Jews of all backgrounds and beliefs.

From caring for the dying to honoring the dead, Anita Diamant explains the Jewish practices that make mourning a loved one an opportunity to experience the full range of emotions—grief, anger, fear, guilt, relief—and take comfort in the idea that the memory of the deceased is bound up in our lives and actions.

In Saying Kaddish you will find suggestions for conducting a funeral and for observing the shiva week, the shloshim month, the year of Kaddish, the annual yahrzeit, and the Yizkor service. There are also chapters on coping with particular losses—such as the death of a child and suicide—and on children as mourners, mourning non-Jewish loved ones, and the bereavement that accompanies miscarriage.

Diamant also offers advice on how to apply traditional views of the sacredness of life to hospice and palliative care. Reflecting the ways that ancient rituals and customs have been adapted in light of contemporary wisdom and needs, she includes updated sections on taharah (preparation of the body for burial) and on using ritual immersion in a mikveh to mark the stages of bereavement. And, celebrating a Judaism that has become inclusive and welcoming. Diamant highlights rituals, prayers, and customs that will be meaningful to Jews-by-choice, Jews of color, and LGBTQ Jews. Concluding chapters discuss Jewish perspectives on writing a will, creating healthcare directives, making final arrangements, and composing an ethical will.

An optimistic view of the endtimes
Format: Kindle
I like Matthew's writing style. For a subject as esoteric like Revelation, he makes it an easy read. I would have given it 5 stars if this was an audio but for some repetitious statements. He brings to light the pivotal role of the two witnesses and the 144,000 in end-time harvest. It gives you an optimistic view of the future in keeping with the theme of the New Testament. A real blessing to the Bride waiting for the Groom. Maranatha!

End times made (more) simple.
Format: Kindle
Matthew has taken a difficult topic and expanded on it based not only on the Word, but also based on visions, prophecy from others, and revelation knowledge from the Holy Spirit. He gives new ideas and strengthens old ones. For instance, I have always thought the two witnesses in Revelation are Enoch and Elijah because God took them (they did not die) and because man is appointed once to die. This was reinforced by this book, and I believe that it is a leading by the Holy Spirit within the critical framework of the Word. Its a short read and worth your time.

Not quite what I was hoping for and not nearly as informative as his other books.

The two witnesses are Elijah and Enoch
Format: Kindle
Matthew Robert Payne has the unique insight of having interviewed both Elijah and Enoch. The revelation he has received from them can be found on his YouTube channel and in his book "Great Cloud of Witnesses Speak." Those resources along with "Optimistic Visions of Revelation" give a clear picture of what the tribulation will look like. Study them to find your end time calling and how to keep your family and loved ones safe.

Beware , deceived false prophet
Format: Kindle
Scripture speaks against communicating with the dead. “10 There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering,[a] anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer 11 or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, 12 for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you. ” — Deuteronomy 18:10-12 (ESV) “31 “Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God. ” — Leviticus 19:31 (ESV) The creepy "prophet" is clearly not hearing from Jesus. At best he's just making stuff up for some easy money. At worst demons are feeding him creative stories. Either way it's a worthless deception everyone should avoid.
