Elevate your enclosure with the Middle Atlantic 64% Open Area Door, a premium vented door designed for professional AV, IT, and network racks. Offered in a lightly smoked plexiglass finish, this door blends a contemporary, minimal aesthetic with practical airflow and accessibility. The product lineup includes multiple configurations to suit different cooling needs and design preferences: fully vented, vented plexi, large perforated vented, solid, and the option of beveled corners for a modern look. Beveled edges deliver a refined silhouette that complements sleek, high-end rack systems, while hinge options allow left- or right-handed installation to accommodate tight spaces and varied room layouts. The standout feature is the large perforated door with 64% open area, engineered to maximize airflow through the enclosure, helping to dissipate heat from dense equipment and reduce fan load. In comparison, regular perforated doors typically offer around 25% open area, which can constrain cooling in stacked racks or high-heat environments. Whether you’re assembling a broadcast rack, a data closet, an AV distribution setup, or a home theater gear wall, this door provides a balanced blend of visibility, security, and airflow. The lightly smoked plexiglass finish not only reduces glare and fingerprints but also maintains visibility of front-panel indicators and status lights through the door, allowing technicians to monitor equipment without unnecessary openings. Beveled corners minimize sharp edges and contribute to a durable, professional appearance that resists wear in busy environments. This door line is designed to integrate seamlessly with Middle Atlantic rack systems, offering precise fit and straightforward mounting that speeds installation and keeps lines clean across multiple enclosures.

  • Premium configurations for every cooling need: Choose from lightly smoked plexiglass, fully vented, vented plexi, large perforated vented, and solid doors. Each option is tailored to balance visibility, airflow, and security, enabling you to tailor airflow management to the specific heat load and component layout of your rack.
  • Modern, beveled design with flexible hinge options: Beveled corners provide a contemporary aesthetic while minimizing edge chipping. Hinging can be chosen for left- or right-hand access, making installation in tight spaces or side-by-side racks quicker and easier.
  • Superior airflow with 64% open area on the large perforated door: The large perforated configuration delivers significantly higher ventilation than standard doors (about 64% vs. ~25%), helping to lower intake temperatures and extend the life of equipment in high-heat environments.
  • Smoked plexiglass for professional appearance and visibility: The lightly smoked finish reduces glare and fingerprints while still allowing visibility of LEDs and indicators, providing practical monitoring opportunities without compromising security or aesthetics.
  • Easy integration with Middle Atlantic systems: Engineered to align with Middle Atlantic enclosure standards, ensuring a precise fit, reliable operation, and a clean, cohesive look across multiple racks and installations.

This door line is known for offering several configurations—lightly smoked plexiglass, fully vented, vented plexi, large perforated vented, and solid options—with beveled corners and left- or right-handed hinging. The distinguishing feature is the large perforated variant that delivers 64% open area, providing enhanced airflow for high-density equipment scenes, while standard perforated doors offer around 25% open area for moderate ventilation. how to install Middle Atlantic 64% Open Area Door

  • Prepare the enclosure: confirm the required door configuration (vented, solid, or perforated) and remove any existing door or hardware from the frame before installation.
  • Choose hinge orientation: decide whether the door will be mounted on the left or right side based on room layout and service access, then locate the corresponding hinge mounting points on the frame.
  • Attach hinges: align the hinges with the frame’s predrilled holes and secure them using the manufacturer’s recommended screws. Ensure the hinges are firmly fastened and square to the frame to prevent binding.
  • Mount the door: position the door into the hinge pins and confirm smooth operation through the full travel of the hinge. Check that the door closes flush against the frame without gaps or interference with adjacent panels.
  • Test fit and airflow: open and close the door several times to verify clearance and ease of access. If a vented or perforated configuration is used, confirm that airflow pathways remain unblocked by cables or accessories inside the enclosure.

IT WORKS, IT REALLY WORKS!
Size: 16oz, Size: 16oz
I carry a tire plug kit in my van. Low pressure light came on and quickly made my way to air pump. Checked out tire and was at least a 5/16" bolt right between tread, very easy to locate (hissing). Inflated tire, prepared plug, pulled out bolt, inserted plug done. Almost home light came on again. Used water soap and plug was still leaking. Tried double plug and still leaking, but would take days to trigger low pressure light. Tire still had decent tread and didn't have facilities to patch, so got a can of fix a flat. I have never believed in this stuff, but it worked. No low pressure warnings for about a month. Around here they would charge $50 for a patch, 2 .25 cent soft rubber plugs and fix a flat, problem resolved!

Buy it! Lifesaver!
Size: 16oz
Yes, buy it when you don't have a spare tire because you will need it! I live in Florida and flat tires are just part of living here! Saved my life twice already and is absolutely self explaining! Cheaper then a spare tire, lighter than one too! Just throw it in your trunk and best case you will never need it but just in case!

Difficult to use and eventually hose end broke
Size: 24oz, Size: 24oz
I purchased this can of Fix-A-Flat to fix, what I believe, is a rim leak on my truck tire which needs to be filled once every week or so. When I attempted to use the product I let some air out of the tire (down to 25 psi) so it would be easier to dispense the contents. The instructions on the can say to have the valve on the tire at the 6 o'clock...which I did as well. When I attempted to make the connection using the swivel connector on the can's hose it was difficult. The hose on the can is very short and stiff and because it came coiled in the can's lid, did not want to straighten out making connecting it to the tire a very awkward process. It was hard to screw the hose end on the valve without it binding so it felt like it was cross-threading. I have machined aluminum valve caps and they go one very easily so I know the threads on the tire's valve stem are clean. I finally did get it on and when I attempted to dispense the contents it filled the hose but that was about it. I could not see any contents flowing thru the hose at all. I assumed it was not on far enough so I took it off to try again and the contents sprayed everywhere showing it was indeed under pressure....just not going into the tire. After multiple tries the hose end eventually just broke off and stayed on the tire's valve stem. I was able to get it off, but at this point the can is useless to me. Obviously I cannot and will not recommend this product. I have used this product before and had success, but that was when the hose was longer and wired to the side of the can making it much easier to use, versus how they are shipped now. I would recommend going with another product or possible going to a box store (which is what I plan to do) to find one that does not have this design. At the very least, if you do choose to disregard this review, I would try it with the tire's valve stem at the 3 or 9 o'clock position which might make it easier to thread the hose end on to the valve stem,. Also, if you choose to go this route you might just be throwing your money away. I attempted to get a refund from Amazon and was directed to the manufacture's web site. From there you are directed to use the 800 number of leave a general message that is in no way connected to your Amazon purchase. Past experience tells me it will not be an easy process so it looks like I am out the $12.

This is a necessity for anyone that tries a car!!
Size: 20oz 6pk
I haven’t used this yet, but I bought a case to give to my family members. My friend who came outside to a flat tire. It was a Sunday in Utah so there was really no one that could fix it. Walmart told her to get this product. She had to drive home immediately following using this product (300 miles) It has been over two months now and my niece is still driving on that tire. It was a brand new tire that was costly so she decided to just wait and see how long this product will work. Great gift for anyone in the family that drives. This does not work on a blown tire. If you wake up in the morning and your tire is flat, or you get out of class and your tire is flat, just use this product and no calls need to be made.
