The Nightingales were formed by vocalist Robert Lloyd, formerly of The Prefects (part of The Clash's White Riot Tour, John Peel favorites, etc.), recorded a bunch of albums and 45s in the 1980s, and played shows throughout Europe as headliners and in support of acts as diverse as Bo Diddley and Nico, but stopped working when Lloyd decided to combine a solo career with money-earning manual labor. In 2004, Lloyd reformed the band, not as a nostalgia act performing old material for the entertainment of the affluent and aging ex-punk/indie brigade, but as an uncompromising, confrontational contemporary group. After much coming and going of various mercenary, starry eyed, wastrel and/or part time musicians, Lloyd met Andreas Schmid during the recording of Insult to Injury in 2008; Schmid joined the band and the group, as Lloyd says, got good. The Nightingales then got great when former Violet Violet drummer Fliss Kitson joined the group before the recording of No Love Lost in 2012. This lineup (completed by original Prefect Alan Apperley on guitar) became a top-notch live unit and, following the sold-out, self-released For Fuck's Sake LP (2014), the streamlined four-piece Nightingales embarked on their most successful UK tour to date before writing and recording Mind Over Matter in September, 2014, at the end of a short tour of Germany and Austria. Mind Over Matter is a short, sharp blast of melody, rhythm, irritation, and humor. The group might play around but does not fuck around. They may indulge themselves but do not waste your time. They could be insane but are most certainly diligent. The album is released to coincide with a session for Marc Riley's BBC 6 Music show on May 13, before a tour of the UK and Ireland and trips to West Coast USA and mainland Europe. A compilation of covers of 'Gales songs by various fans/artists is also scheduled for release in 2015 or '16. Like the band's three preceding albums, Mind Over Matter was recorded in Germany at Hans-Joachim Irmler's Faust Studio and produced by the 'Gales bassist and Faust Studio house engineer Andreas Schmid.

soft, cozy, lightweight. Drapes nicely or folds flat & even. Warm as liner to another blanket

Summer weight, soft feel, cozy. If using in cooler temps, then consider using it as a liner, then toss another blanket on top. Nice cozy way to trap in heat.
I love orange and was looking for a functional throw blanket. I didnt want the typical lap blanket size (50"x60"). I am tall and wanted something I can tuck my feet under and pull up to my chest when on the couch. But I also wanted it to be decorative when not in use. Not wanting a thick blanket for this purpose, I looked for a thin one of this style. It folds small and flat, OR drapes nicely when tossed. Even at twin size (60"x 80"), it still works as a "throw" blanket. It measures a little wider and aittle shorter so not perfect twin length.
It is thin, but not see through. Very soft. Haven't washed it yet, so hopefully it holds up.
ALSO, we have cats and dogs, so I am always looking at something to see if it can also be used for them. Depending on size, these blankets would make good furniture covers. Nicer than sheets, cheaper than pet products, thin enough to toss in washer, and a material that will stay in place on fabric furniture. Or just a blankey for pets that like to get cozy.
WHICH, at the time of my writing this, my recent rescue dog from the south is experiencing the cool fall temps of fall. She is snuggled up tight against me. I have this blanket as the base on me and the couch, and then a thicker fleece blanket on top of me and her. I just took a pic and will include it.

Comfortable, durable and great for everyday use

This blanket is super cozy and soft, and it’s true to size. I got the brown color, and the quality is excellent. I’ve washed it multiple times, and it comes out looking like new every time.
It’s on the thinner side but still keeps you warm—perfect for lounging on the couch or sitting by the fire. The fabric stretches a bit, but not in a way that would cause it to rip or break.

Thin, may not be sufficient for very cold nights

Nice Lightweight Blanket
Color: Light Camel, Size: King(108"x90")
I bought this because my winter blanket is too heavy for the summer. I'm a hot sleeper and have to have the temperature at 68 at night because the bedroom is upstairs above a garage and it gets warm. This blanket is very soft and not thick and I don't get hot. I have a queen size bed but I bought a king size so it looks more like a bedspread. It doesn't hang down far on one side but that is the side that people don't see so that's fine. If you like a blanket on the thinner side yet still warm enough, you will like this.

Bright color & true to size

I ordered red. Color was vibrant although it has a touch of Orange - not the deep red I thought I would get. Funky chemical smell when I opened it - it went away after I spread it out for a few hours. It's soft with hemmed edges. A little thin but OK for the bed I ordered it for. Price was right & I would probably order additional colors if warranted in the future. It arrived quick.
