One of Torre de Oña’s standout expressions is Finca San Martín Crianza, a 100% Tempranillo Rioja that typifies the region’s vibrant, fruit-forward style with the complexity imparted by extended oak ageing. Sourced from selected vineyards around the estate and matured for around 16 months in a mix of new American and seasoned French oak barrels, this crianza offers bright red and dark fruit aromas — often notes of raspberry, cranberry and spice — complemented by subtle vanilla, cedar and licorice nuances from the wood. On the palate it’s balanced and medium-bodied, with fine tannins and lively acidity that make it both immediately appealing and versatile with food.
