Good. that it really demanded a second version, one that was more respectful of the gothic, horror context of the band and its music. That's also available here as v1. This classic, vintage, retro cover for Stevenson's 'The Curious Story of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde' is a pulp horror stalwart, but I kept looking for something else . . . I always came back to this one, though. What I love about it, and why I came to realize it's so perfect for this glorious, irresistible dance floor pleaser is that the look on Hyde's face is a perfect combination of surprise and shock and aggression: it captures that part of the narrative that says, 'well, I know I look like a monster, but seriously dude, have you examined yourself lately, you g**d**n hypocrite?'

If you haven't heard this song in a while, do yourself a favour and put it on a stereo where you can really crank it -- and then tell me you're not in a better mood afterwards.
