How to install Cisco Nexus 3172PQ Layer 3 Switch

Installing the Cisco Nexus 3172PQ is a straightforward process when planned in a data-center-ready rack with properly rated power, cooling, and cabling. Begin with a clean rack, confirm that your environment meets the thermal and electrical requirements, and ensure that you have access to the appropriate NX-OS software image and licenses. For successful deployment, follow these general steps:

1) Prepare the rack and cabling: Install the switch into a compatible rack enclosure, attach the mounting rails, and verify that the power supplies are properly seated. Route and label network cables for predictable topology, keeping high-density cables organized to maintain airflow and ease maintenance.

2) Connect management and data-plane networks: Attach the console or management interface to a secure administrative network. Connect data-plane uplinks and leaf/spine connections as planned in your design, ensuring link stability and correct cable types for 10G/40G speeds.

3) Power-on and initial boot: Apply power and monitor the boot sequence. If required, insert the NX-OS image and perform an initial, minimal configuration to enable management access and basic readiness tests. Ensure that firmware versions are compatible with existing devices in your fabric.

4) Basic configuration: Configure a management IP, set up admin credentials, and verify basic reachability with pings to the management network. Establish essential routing or VRF contexts if Layer 3 functionality is being used from the outset. Create initial VLANs, assign ports, and test connectivity across Layer 2 domains and Layer 3 routes.

5) Deploy and validate features: Enable VXLAN/EVPN for scalable multi-tenant environments, configure QoS policies for traffic differentiation, and verify ACLs and security features to protect the network edge. Run connectivity and convergence tests across your spine-leaf fabric to confirm that L2 multipathing, L3 routing, and micro-segmentation policies behave as intended.

6) Monitoring and optimization: Enable telemetry, SNMP, and logging to gain visibility into fabric health and performance. Use NX-OS native tools or compatible management platforms to monitor utilization, latency, drop rates, and physical health to proactively address bottlenecks and plan capacity growth.

7) Documentation and ongoing maintenance: Keep network diagrams, device inventories, and configuration backups up to date. Establish change-control procedures and regular firmware updates to stay aligned with Cisco’s recommended practices and security advisories.

Sweet Strawberry, Vanilla, Amber, Musk
Scent: 555 Strawberry + Aire, Size: 1 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Scent: 555 Strawberry + Aire, Size: 1 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This is a really light, airy scent. The berry stands out, but it’s a soft, sweet strawberry. Even though it’s sweet, it still smells fresh and clean. On my skin, I definitely get the musk, vanilla, and amber, but then there’s this light, fluffy, sugary strawberry cloud that floats over the top, and that’s what I notice the most. It reminds me a bit of Burberry Her, just a little lighter. Since this is a hair and body mist, it’s not as strong or long-lasting as a perfume, but for a mist, it performs well. I get about 2 hours on clothing and a bit more in my hair. I also really like this as a final layer when I’m layering fragrances. It’s especially nice in my hair. One thing to keep in mind is the size. The 1 oz (30mL) bottles are pretty small. They’re great if you just want to try the scent or keep something in your bag, but not ideal if you plan to use it a lot. If you enjoy Burberry Her or even EOS Strawberry Dream, I think you’ll really like this.

Perfect for Summer Layering
Scent: 555 Strawberry + Aire, Size: 1 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Scent: 555 Strawberry + Aire, Size: 1 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This is a high-quality, straightforward scent that captures a beautiful fruity vibe perfect for spring and summer. It opens with a vibrant blast of super-sweet strawberry before settling into a smooth, cozy blend of vanilla and sandalwood. The presentation is nice, the bottle feels solid, and the cap and nozzle function perfectly. While the performance is average for a mist, the 1oz travel size is ideal for keeping in a work bag for a quick refresh every few hours. It works beautifully as a standalone fragrance or as a sweet base for layering.

Portable size to freshen up
Scent: 555 Strawberry + Aire, Size: 1 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
The fragrance is fruity and light. This is a great size to pop in a purse or gym bag. I also found it easily in my bag because of the bright red color, and my bag is ALWAYS a mess lol. The lid stays on with no issues. Since this is a mist , the scent is there and gone pretty quickly. It doesn’t last long. The price is decent for this brand, but it isn’t going to perform much differently than what you get at the “blue gingham” place. I’ve ordered from Lake & Skye before and I generally like their products.
