Part of the AT-VMx series, this particular cartridge has a 3.0 mil conical bonded stylus that has a curvature radius specifically made for 78 rpm mono records. Unlike its stereo counterpart, this cartridge's dual magnets are connected for a low-noise, center-focused sound image. To further reduce surface noise, the mono body terminates both left and right channels. Similar to other AT-VMx cartridges, it uses optimized PCUHD copper in both paratoroidal coils, which feature fewer turns than previous versions. This helps to achieve a 3D sound response with an improved transient response, and can more quickly response to changes in your music.
