The ridges that you see featured are inspired by the actual ridge lines of the Wasatch Mountains, the range that runs adjacent to Salt Lake City, Utah. This vase is hand thrown and trimmed on the potter's wheel. The mountains are painstakingly carved into the form to provide a 3D effect. This vase is a labor of love, passion, and patience. The ridges that you see featured are inspired by the actual ridge lines of the Wasatch Mountains, the range that runs adjacent to Salt Lake City, Utah. 

This vase is hand thrown and trimmed on the potter's wheel. The mountains are painstakingly carved into the form to provide a 3D effect. They are then glazed using a combination of dipping and brushing techniques.

After the second firing, gold luster artwork is painted on and then is fired one more time in the kiln. 

This vase is truly a unique piece of mountain decor. It will make a wonderful centerpiece for any dining table, and will bring the mountains to you, no matter how far they may be.
