Whilst Paul Corfield is keeping his well-known and loved surrealism style, in this new Paul Corfield Spring 2024 collection, the artist is adding a modern twist to his dreamlike landscapes. With inspiration drawn from the Scottish highland mountains to Dorset coasts, the new artworks have elements of seasonal changes within them, focusing on a deep orange sunset, a misty Greenland, and a majestic mountain scene. Known for his beautifully detailed pieces that create a sense of escapism and freedom, immersing collectors in nostalgia.

Each piece has a dreamlike quality to them created by soft and diffused lighting, with ranges of colours from calming pastels to vibrant colours which spark a sense of tranquillity and serenity. The colour pallets chosen within this collection create the idea of escapism evoking the feeling of curiosity, wonder and imagination.

Famous for his bright bold skies, “Fiery Skies” has a dramatic and atmospheric sky with the contrast between the glowing oranges in the sunset and the darker clouds.

“It's a subtle change to my style that I'll include from time to time if the composition will benefit. This was a fun painting to create, I especially like trying to figure out how light will be reflected and bounced around within the clouds”, the artist told us.
