The Arboretum Beat Challenge is free to enter but requires a valid email address to deliver the Songstarter pack / license and to contact the winning artists.
During the Arboretum Beat Challenge October 14th until October 23rd (Ending at Midnight CET time) you may chop,flip, or remix the stems from the Songstarter pack into a new song or beat (derivate) and post that song or beat to your social media accounts. Instagram, Tik Tok, Fanbase, Youtube, or any other known or unknown social media entities.
In exchange for your valid email to enter the Arboretum Beat Challenge provided via this website - www.thesampleuniverse.com (each, “Song” or “Stem” or "Sample"), we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, right to use the “Song” or Stem or "Sample" in combination with other sounds in music productions to create a new recording ("Recording(s)"), which shall be considered a ”derivative work" as that term is used in the United States Copyright Act and international copyright.
This license permits you to modify, reproduce, publicly perform, distribute, transmit, and otherwise use the Stems as incorporated into your Recording, for promotional purposes during the Arboretum Beat Challenge subject to the following restrictions:
1) You may not use or sub license the (“Song” or Stem or "Sample”) in isolation as sound effects, loops, or as source material for any other form of sample (even if you modify the Sample).
2) You may not use or sub license (“Song” or Stem or "Sample”) in a manner competitive to us or redistribute Samples in new sample packs.
3) You may not sub license , sell, loan, share, lend, broadcast, rent, lease, assign, distribute, or transfer any (“Song” or Stem or "Sample”) to a third party.
4) You may only use the name, image, or likeness of the artists associated with the Arboretum Beat Challenge during the challenge from October 14th until October 23rd.
If after the challenge ends you would like to release your beat or song you will need to purchase the Songstarter pack to acquire a license from https:// thesampleuniverse.com
By downloading the Songstarter pack you agree to be bound by the terms of the license and agree to be emailed regarding this challenge and other opportunities.
