The Kensington AC12 12-Bay Security Charging Cabinet is a purpose-built solution designed to securely store and charge multiple devices at once, helping organizations stay organized and productive. Built for high-traffic environments—from classrooms and training rooms to clinics and offices—the AC12 combines rugged, powder-coated steel construction with thoughtful internal design to deliver reliable performance day after day. With the capacity to hold up to 12 devices of varying sizes, this cabinet minimizes clutter, reduces tangling of cables, and ensures devices are ready for use when needed. Its secure, streamlined design makes it an ideal multi-device charging cabinet for educators, IT staff, and business professionals seeking a dependable, scalable charging station. Whether you’re charging tablets for a school program, smartphones for a retail team, or laptops for a collaborative workspace, this cabinet brings order, security, and efficiency to every charging session.

  • Efficient multi-device charging solution: The AC12 is designed to securely store and charge up to 12 devices simultaneously, enabling rapid turnaround between classes or team sessions. By consolidating charging into one centralized cabinet, you reduce per-device downtime and ensure every device is fully powered and ready for the next use. The bays are sized to accommodate a variety of devices, from compact smartphones to larger tablets and slim laptops, making it a versatile hub for schools, businesses, and service environments. This is more than a charging cart; it’s a streamlined charging workflow that keeps pace with busy schedules and growing device fleets.
  • Secure and tamper-resistant design: The AC12 prioritizes security with a sturdy steel enclosure and a reliable locking mechanism. A keyed cam lock (with included keys) helps protect devices from theft or tampering when not in use, and a robust cabinet design deters unauthorized access. This level of security is essential in shared spaces where devices hold sensitive information or valuable hardware. With clear visibility of the charging status and a secure enclosure, administrators can confidently deploy large device fleets without compromising asset protection.
  • Flexible organization for devices of different sizes: Adjustable bays and thoughtful interior layout let you optimize space for devices of varying dimensions. Whether you’re housing tablets in some bays, slim laptops in others, or charging a mix of devices for a single program, the AC12 accommodates diverse configurations. The organized bays simplify device return and inventory management, while labeling options and clear separation between bays help prevent mix-ups during busy periods. This level of flexibility is especially valuable in classrooms and training facilities where device types change regularly.
  • Cable management and thermal design: Built-in cable routing channels and vented panels keep cables out of the way and reduce clutter, while promoting safe heat dissipation as devices charge. The result is a neater workspace with better airflow around each bay, which can extend the life of devices and chargers alike. Clean cable management also simplifies maintenance and reduces the risk of accidental disconnections during busy times. The AC12’s design supports efficient charging without compromising device safety or user convenience.
  • Ideal for education, business, and high-traffic environments: This cabinet shines in applications that require scalable, secure device charging. In schools, it supports 1:1 device programs and shared devices without creating a tangled mess of cords. In corporate training rooms, it provides a reliable hub for onboarding sessions and workshops. In healthcare, hospitality, or retail environments, it helps protect assets while ensuring staff have quick, dependable access to power when they need it. The Kensington AC12 is more than a storage cabinet—it’s a productive, secure charging ecosystem that fits seamlessly into modern work and learning spaces.

A clear and concise book
Format: Hardcover
Fascinating book. Berntsen provides some interesting insights and recommendations on how we should fix problems at the CIA and in the national security apparatus. At a time when most critics want to destroy the Agency, Berntsen provides some plain spoken sanity. Human Intelligence, Counterterrorism and National Leadership needs to be read by anyone entering into defense, foreign affairs or intelligence - and anyone else with an interest in how the CIA works. It is a fast and enjoyable read.

Skimming the Surface
Format: Hardcover
The essence of this book is to succinctly explain the role of CIA's National Clandestine Service (Directorate of Operations) in formulating and more importantly executing a coherent counter-terrorism strategy. Gary Berntsen is a retired CIA intelligence officer (clandestine service) with an impressive record of field assignments to his credit. He also clearly knows the ways of Washington D.C. in that this book is designed for those suffering from attention deficit disorder. While he raises several interesting point in the book, he also reveals an astonishing narrowness of view and tendency to reduce everything to its simplest terms. In his introductory `background' chapter Berntsen makes the dubious claim that the collection of intelligence from human sources (HUMINT) is the "primary mission of CIA." Apparently he is unaware that CIA was originally founded to produce all source finished intelligence and that the National Intelligence Council (NIC), until recently under CIA, was the final word in the U.S. Intelligence System. Nothing reveals the sorry state of CIA's Directorate of Intelligence better than this claim. In the same manner Berntsen is apparently oblivious to the availability and uses of intelligence collected by technical means. To his credit he does recognize that the best intelligence is more often available from open (non-classified) sources than from secret sources. Yet he neither expands nor follows up this observation. Berntsen more or less follows this pattern through out this book. For example he provides a brief discussion of the traditional Islamic Banking System called Hawalla, but is apparently unaware that the system is based on a recognized credit not cash and that money does not move across international borders. The system is widely trusted and is widely used by Muslim expatriates in the West and Saudi Arabia to send money home. For this reason Hawalla credit transfers providing money to terrorists are easily lost in a world wide mass of transactions. Yet it is possible to track Hawalla transactions and it has been done without "intensive manpower" allocations. Berntsen deserves a good deal of respect and credit for his obvious service to the U. S. and his dedication to the cause of clandestine intelligence operations and its hand maiden covert operations. Yet this book is a terminally superficial and ill-considered work by someone who not only should know better, but could have produced a first rate `practical guide' to a counter-terrorism strategy.
