Hand-picked, high-quality processing for Console 1 Mk I, Mk II, and Channel Mk III

Made for all generations of Console 1
Core Mixing Suite was created exclusively for Console 1. The Core Mixing Suite software is included with Console 1 Channel Mk III. It is available for purchase for Console 1 users who wish to use it with their Mk I or Mk II hardware. Read on for more information about Core Mixing Suite.

We combined your feedback and our DSP knowledge to create our idea of the perfect channel strip. Core Mixing Suite gives you the sound of your favorite tools, your preferred workflow, and the ability to paint with broad strokes or get very precise. All in a single channel strip created exclusively for Console 1.

Core Mixing Suite delivers the award-winning sounds of our Tape, FET Compressor Mk II, and Bus Processor plug-ins in versatile tape, filter, shape, equalizer, and compressor sections. Plus, an innovative drive befitting our stellar reputation for saturation. It's all at your fingertips with Core Mixing Suite for Console 1.

The Art of Rock & Roll Science
Our reputation for creating tools that enhance workflow and offer superior sound quality is rock solid. Our partnerships with premium brands like Tube-Tech, Solid State Logic, Chandler Limited, Weiss Engineering, and Trident have spanned decades.

We built Core Mixing Suite on this legacy of passion, expert modeling, and attention to detail. Because to create synth plug-ins that innovate and elevate, you have to have heart, soul, and Rock & Roll Science.

The sound
The core of every mixing console is its sound, and we wanted to make sure Core Mixing Suite delivers the best. That's why we equipped it with the high-quality sounds of our award-winning Tape, Bus Processor, and FET Compressor Mk II plug-ins. What better way to get the authentic sounds of top-tier studios than to go straight to the Rock & Roll Scientists known for component modeling at an incredibly high level?

The flow
Twenty years' worth of listening, analyzing, and modeling more mixing consoles than we can count have gone into Core Mixing Suite. What we learned through experience, and speaking with you, is how much the workflow influences the sound and, therefore, just how damn important it is to get it perfect. A turn of a knob needs to feel right , and the action needs to be in harmony with the change in the sound. That's why Core Mixing Suite gives you more processing at your fingertips than most tracks will ever need.

The sections
Tape/Preamp

Get the analog sound of running through the inputs of consoles and tape machines to any DAW with three processing options: Core Tape, Core Modern Preamp, and Core Vintage Preamp. To overdrive the Tape/Preamp stage, use Input Gain so the input level reaches above 0 dBFS. The output volume can be used to level match when the Tape/Preamp stage is bypassed.

Filters
The Filter section consists of low-pass and high-pass Butterworth filters with selectable slope (6, 12, 18, 24, and 48 dB/octave). These filters are designed to be maximally flat and have a more linear phase in the passband, to be as transparent sounding as possible.

Shape
Core Mixing Suite has three unique Shape sections: Core Shape, Core Panner, and Core Dual Dynamics. Each can help address a different need, from shaping your sound with gating, expansion and compression, transient shaping to mono compatible binaural panning.

Equalizers
Core Mixing Suite includes two distinct EQs with two distinct purposes. The smooth and musical Vintage Equalizer is great for broad strokes when you want to balance the mix. The Modern Equalizer is precise, flexible, and ideal for corrective work.

Compressors
Core Mixing Suite gives you the actual compressors you find in every wellequipped studio: FET, Opto, and Bus. With Console 1 Channel Mk III's dual compressors, you can set up your vocal chain with both FET and Opto. Or take advantage of the dual slots for every track.

Drive
It would be hard to live up to our reputation as the masters of distortion if we didn't give you a brand-new drive. Core Drive was designed to add energy, push the mids forward, and make your source audio come alive. The Character will push either the high frequencies or low frequencies harder, depending on which way you turn it.

Core Mixing Suite for Console 1 Mk I and Mk II
Core Mixing Suite lets you get the most possible out of the nine sections of the Console 1 plug-in. If you're a Console 1 Mk I or Mk II user, you can rest assured that, with few exceptions, Core Mixing Suite will function for you virtually as it does with Console 1 Channel Mk III. Key differences to note if you use Mk I or Mk II hardware: your access to dual sections and the Tape/Preamp section will be available via the Console 1 plug-in, not from the hardware as it is with Channel Mk III.

Good budget-friendly option
Color: Black, Size: Pack of 1, Color: Black, Size: Pack of 1
The chair arrived 4 days early and was easy to put together by following the instructions carefully. It feels sturdy and comfortable. It does support the lumbar region of the back and the arm rests are adjustable vertically as well as the head rest. I wish the arm rests were able to rotate in and out for added customization and that the back of the chair could be adjusted up and down for more precise support. But for a budget chair, it does a good job.

A solid chair for the budget conscious sitter.
Color: Black, Size: Pack of 1
While this is not THE most comfortable chair, let's face it - if you sit for long periods, what chair IS? I bought this chair because I'm making a career change. I've returned to school and spend hours at my desk. At the age of 50, sitting for a long time with my nose pointed toward a book can be hard on the seat, back and neck. I looked at all kinds of office chairs and settled on this one, primarily because it was on sale, was in my budget and so I clicked the "Add to cart" button and hoped for the best. It was delivered, and I had to work that evening, and when I got home my 17-year-old son had assembled it. My theory on the simplicity of assembly can be deduced from that sentence above. He didn't have any extra parts left over and the chair was complete! I sat down. I leaned back. I shifted the lever that keeps the chair in an upright position and sat straight up. Okay! I can live with this. It has been almost two full months of using this chair and I have no problems. Pros: easy to assemble sufficient comfort level - adequate cushion in the seat can be leaned back or pop the lever in to stay straight up rollers on bottom headrest is adjustable affordable easy to clean arm-rests can be moved up or down height adjustment is self-explanatory - you'll figure it out the "lumbar" support is actually comfortable - it's "there" if you back up to it but if you scoot forward just a bit, you won't feel it if you don't want to sit like that Overall this seems like a chair that's going to last me for a few years, at least, and not fall apart. In the context of size, I'm not a small or extra larger person. I'm an average middle-aged woman with meat on the bones. The seat is plenty big enough. I would recommend this chair as an upgrade to the hand-me-down office chair that just isn't comfortable any longer.

Love this chair!
Color: Black, Size: Pack of 1
I had an office chair that cost $300 more than this chair - had it for years, then things started breaking down on it. I read about this chair and, wow! I wish I had known about it sooner. It's more comfortable and it's not a chore to sit for a couple of hours working on designs. Wonderful design - supports my back well and it's very stable, easy to adjust.

Good chair with some quality issues
Color: Black, Size: Pack of 1
I've been using this chair for 12+ hours a day for the last 5 or 6 months and so far it is much better than my last chair I bought at Staples with a few problems. First, overall the chair is still comfortable when set properly, the cushion on the bottom is a little worn out but is still comfortable and I find the backrest comfortable except for the lumbar support which has very little cushioning and feels like a plastic brick being pushed into my back, however I find that I can keep it mostly out of the way most of the time and it isn't noticeable when I carry most of my weight on my upper back area while reclining. The reclining angle is super comfortable and the mesh on the back is not noticeably worn out. I like the headrest which is made of a cushioned mesh, its not better than a pillow but it's very comfortable to be able to rest your head in a chair you are going to sit in for long hours and gives good support. The arm rests don't feel amazing, they have a very stiff plasticky cushion feeling that I'm not much a fan of in terms of pure comfort but they get the job done as I mostly only rest my elbows on them when typing. The arm rest adjustment has a pretty good height range and I keep them at the highest settings and set as close to the chair as possible. While the chair may be comfortable, I have had some quality issues that bring down my opinion of the chair. First, my right arm rest does not go as high as my left arm rest and I have to set the left one down two positions to match the right one Second, the back rest locking for the upright position is broken but I can rarely get it to work as long as I don't put much weight on the back. I would imagine that most people would want to lock the chair upright as opposed to the other positions. Third, the 3 screws holding in the backrest untighten themselves over time, causing the backrest to move to its furthest back position and rock left or right if I lean on either side. When I tighten them again they will usually last about 1-2 weeks before becoming mostly loose again. There is no danger of the screws completely falling out though, just losing their tightness Lastly, I'm not sure how stable or secure the wood panel at the bottom of the seat that everything attaches to is strong enough, I used to have my armrests adjusted out further from the center but when I would lift up on my arms to adjust my seating position I would occasionally hear a sound of the wood stressing under the torque from the armrests. since I moved both armrests as close to the center as I can this has not happened; I would like them a little bit wider but I don't want to risk breaking the chair over it. Also, one of the factory-installed screws in the bottom seat panel fell out and wont stay back in but I haven't noticed any problems other than the risk of stepping on a screw caused by it While this is likely the most comfortable chair I've ever sat in, I have to give it 3 stars for the uncomfortable lumbar support and the quality control issues. If the QC issues were fixed I could easily give this chair a 4 star review
