Unlock versatile AV distribution with the ATEN VE2812PR, a high-performance HDMI HDBaseT receiver designed to bring 4K video, premium audio, and precision control signals to a display from a distant source. Built on Class A HDBaseT technology, this receiver is engineered for theater, classroom, boardroom, and digital signage environments where reliability, flexibility, and low latency matter. The VE2812PR delivers crystal-clear HDMI video, embedded audio, and comprehensive control signals over a single Cat cable, simplifying installations and reducing cable clutter while maintaining pristine picture quality and robust performance across distances.

  • 4K HDMI video and audio over a single Cat cable: The VE2812PR is optimized for high-bandwidth 4K HDMI signals, transporting video, multichannel audio, and control data from a compatible HDBaseT transmitter across substantial distances with minimal latency and jitter.
  • Long reaches with flexible cabling: It supports transmission up to 100 meters using Cat 5e/6/6a cables or the ATEN 2L-2910 Cat6 solution. In addition, HDMI signal transmission extends up to 150 meters at 1080p when the HDBaseT Long Reach Mode is enabled, allowing versatile installations in large spaces without sacrificing quality.
  • Audio de-embedding for seamless sound systems: The VE2812PR features built-in audio de-embedding capabilities, extracting HDMI audio and routing it to external audio equipment. This makes it easy to feed a soundbar, amplifier, or professional audio processor while keeping video routing streamlined.
  • Bi-directional Power over HDBaseT (PoH): Enjoy bi-directional PoH support, enabling efficient power management across the HDBaseT link. This reduces the need for multiple power supplies and simplifies deployment, especially in wall-mount or ceiling installations where power access is limited.
  • HDBaseT reliability and control: Harness the proven reliability of HDBaseT for synchronized video, audio, and control signals, ensuring IR, RS-232, and other control paths remain intact across the same cable. The VE2812PR is designed to integrate smoothly with ATEN’s HDBaseT ecosystem for scalable, future-proof AV distribution.

how to install ATEN VE2812PR

  • Plan your cable path: Determine the route from the HDBaseT transmitter to the VE2812PR receiver, selecting Cat 5e/6/6a or the ATEN 2L-2910 Cat6 cable that supports the desired distance.
  • Connect the HDBaseT link: Use a single HDMI-grade Cat cable to connect the HDBaseT transmitter output to the VE2812PR input. Ensure the cable is securely seated at both ends to maximize signal integrity.
  • Attach the HDMI output: Connect the VE2812PR HDMI output to the display device (monitor or projector). Verify that the display input is set to the correct HDMI source corresponding to the VE2812PR output.
  • Route and configure audio de-embedding: If you intend to use external audio, connect the de-embedded audio outputs from the VE2812PR to your audio system. Check the receiver’s settings to confirm which path the audio is taking (embedded vs. de-embedded) and adjust as needed for your setup.
  • Provide power and test PoH: If your installation supports Power over HDBaseT, ensure the transmitter and VE2812PR are configured to negotiate PoH as required. If PoH is not available or requires an alternative power source, connect the VE2812PR to a suitable power supply. Power up the system and verify video and audio routing, as well as any control signals such as IR or RS-232, are functioning correctly.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is the ATEN VE2812PR? The VE2812PR is an HDMI HDBaseT receiver designed to receive 4K HDMI video, audio, and control signals over a long Cat cable from a compatible HDBaseT transmitter, with features like audio de-embedding and bi-directional PoH for efficient power management.
  • How far can I run the VE2812PR? Typical transmission distance is up to 100 meters over Cat 5e/6/6a cables or with ATEN 2L-2910 Cat6. In HDBaseT Long Reach Mode, HDMI can be extended up to 150 meters at 1080p, providing flexibility for large rooms and venues.
  • What is audio de-embedding and why is it useful? Audio de-embedding extracts the HDMI audio stream from the video signal and routes it to external audio equipment such as receivers, soundbars, or amplifiers. This simplifies audio routing when the display isn’t responsible for audio playback, enabling a cleaner, more versatile AV setup.
  • What does "Bi-directional PoH" mean? PoH, or Power over HDBaseT, allows power to be supplied to the VE2812PR across the HDBaseT link. Bi-directional PoH indicates that power negotiation can occur in both directions, improving flexibility and reducing the need for multiple power adapters in some configurations.
  • Which cables should I use with the VE2812PR? Use Cat 5e, Cat 6, or Cat 6a ethernet cabling, or the ATEN 2L-2910 Cat6 cable that supports HDBaseT transmission. Higher-quality, shielded cables can help minimize interference in complex environments.
  • Is the VE2812PR compatible with other ATEN HDBaseT devices? Yes. The VE2812PR is designed to integrate with ATEN’s HDBaseT ecosystem, making it straightforward to implement AV distribution matrices, splitters, or longer-range installations by pairing it with compatible transmitters and control devices.
  • What resolutions are supported? The VE2812PR supports HDMI transmission suitable for 4K video and includes compatibility with 1080p in Long Reach Mode. Always verify the specific HDMI source and display capabilities to ensure full compatibility with your content and refresh rates.
  • Do I need to power the VE2812PR locally? If PoH is available and negotiated by the HDBaseT link, you can rely on power delivered via the cable. If PoH isn’t available, you will need to provide power via a conventional power supply to the VE2812PR.
  • What control signals are supported? The HDBaseT link typically carries control signals such as IR and RS-232 along with video and audio. This enables remote control and integration with modern AV setups and control systems.

Interesting
Format: Kindle
So I will say I enjoyed the story, for sure had its moments where it dragged but it was a great story. I really liked that omegas picked their alphas/make the pack. Normally the Alphas make it and the omega fits in with them which is great but I enjoyed this new version where all the power basically went to the omega. It was a nice change of pace. I can admit some of the weird bedroom stuff with her being pregnant was odd, it’s really not hard to do stuff when pregnant (I know I’ve had two and it’s normal and even encouraged at the end especially if you want the baby out). But I like the story as a whole and will read the second, I do hope the next one isn’t dragged bc it stopped being action or tense after she met her alphas and I don’t think it was brought up or properly done when they tried to do it. More sweet after she left.

I’m a little disappointed.
Format: Kindle
I usually like Jillian West’s books but this one was missing a lot for me. The pregnancy didn’t come across as real. She’s on her feet for 12 hour days but is perfectly healthy at 8 months pregnant? Yet the week she moves in all of a sudden she’s not? She is planning on actually running during one of the plot buildups. But at 8 months pregnant that’s incredibly hard to do. The lack of breathing ability and lung space, the change in body center, mass, and gravity. All of it prohibits running, unless you’re an athlete this didn’t come off as at all realistic. I didn’t feel any connection with the alphas. There wasn’t any emotional connection. It could be because of the tense it was written in. But I didn’t get any deep feelings out of this. It came across as checking off boxes. Even the spicy scenes weren’t really believable for me. I wanted to see them fall for her, and it just kind of all fizzled. Even Bishop. One thing I did really like was the ending. I did not see it coming and I’m interested in reading book two because of it. But on the whole this book was mostly disappointing for me.

Vale is an 8 month pregnant omega working as a waitress at a strip club and a cam girl. She starts to get very creepy vibes from a regular at the club, and her baby daddy ghosted her. She has had an online relationship with a man named Bishop through her cam girl status. One night, bishop was paying to watch her sleep and ansthe creepy regular Andrew break in and watch her sleep he tells vale to come to him at his business now. She flees and finds herself at a large security company with some.hot of alphas who are there to help her. This imegaverse is a little different than I have read, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. Vale is not a traditional omega she was raised by a single beta mom, and the alphas are not normal alphas they have never really loved pack life. But they are ruthless mercenaries. They need her, and she needs them. I love the aspect of the stalker and now the plot twists at the end, so so good. Sometimes, it seemed a little slow and stale mated, but since this a duet, I think It was just her starting to have Vale get to know her alpha suitors. Cliffhanger for sure with this one.

That ending 😫
Format: Kindle
I fell into a false sense of security and really thought this was gearing towards a happy ending. Then I realized there’s no work they don’t punish Andrew. I really liked Vale’s character. I don’t normally read books with pregnancy but going into this knowing she was pregnant made it more enjoyable for me. I loved Bishops devotion to her and her happiness. I also loved that Holt and Mercy couldn’t fight their attraction to her. I love scent matches so very much. I’m so curious to see how this duet will end up. And I need to pay more attention and notice that a book I’m starting is a duet to begin with lol

This should be interesting! She’s gonna run and then what’s his face is gonna grab her. I’m worried! Wow that was a great book and cliffhanger! Loving this!
