The Black Box LGH1000 Industrial Ethernet Switch is engineered to power critical edge networks where reliability and temperature tolerance matter most. With four full-speed copper ports and two high-speed fiber uplinks, this 6-port switch enables you to extend both your local area network and your fiber backbone into challenging environments. Designed for the far edges of your network, it thrives in cold, dirty indoor spaces and withstands extreme ambient temperatures from -40°C to +70°C, delivering consistent performance where consumer-grade gear would falter. Whether you’re coordinating a fleet of sensors at a monitoring station or routing data from a high-traffic loading dock, the LGH1000 provides dependable, scalable Ethernet connectivity that your operations can rely on for years to come.

From a maintenance perspective, the LGH1000 minimizes downtime by pairing rugged construction with straightforward deployment. Its compact form factor fits easily into crowded equipment racks or wall-mount enclosures, while the two SFP slots offer flexible fiber connectivity to non-blocking backbones. The device is built to withstand dust, moisture, and vibration common in industrial environments, reducing the need for frequent field service calls and lowering total cost of ownership. In real-world deployments, teams rely on its stable performance during temperature swings, rapid thermal changes at exposed sites, and dusty air streams near manufacturing processes. This combination of durability and reliability makes it a trusted cornerstone for distributed industrial networks, IIoT edge devices, and smart factory architectures.

  • Rugged, industrial-grade design capable of operating in extreme temperatures from -40°C to +70°C, ensuring stable Ethernet connectivity in the toughest environments such as loading docks, cold storage facilities, and monitoring stations.
  • (4) 10/100/1000 Mbps copper Ethernet ports plus (2) GE SFP slots for fiber provide flexible, scalable networking — native fast Ethernet at the edge with high-speed uplinks to core or backbone networks.
  • Edge-centric architecture supports reliable local access for a wide range of devices, from sensors and cameras to access points and controllers, helping to reduce latency and improve real-time data processing at the network edge.
  • Durable enclosure and sealed design guard against dust, moisture, and mechanical vibrations, helping you reduce maintenance cycles and extend the service life of remote deployments.
  • Simple, robust deployment with minimal cooling requirements, enabling quick plug-and-play setup in field environments and remote sites where space, power, and cooling are at a premium.

Technical Details of Black Box Industrial Ethernet Switch - Extreme Temperature, 6-Port

  • Temperature range: -40°C to +70°C, designed for extreme-weather operation in industrial environments
  • Industrial-grade enclosure: rugged housing built to withstand dust, moisture, and vibration typical of loading docks and manufacturing floors
  • Edge-focused networking capability: optimized for deployment at the network periphery to enhance reliability and reduce backbone traffic
  • Mounting compatibility: suitable for rack-mount or wall-mount installations to fit constrained industrial spaces

How to install Black Box Industrial Ethernet Switch

  • Identify a secure, accessible mounting location close to power and network devices that will benefit most from edge connectivity, ensuring adequate ventilation and clearance for cables.
  • Power the switch using the appropriate DC power source meeting the device’s specifications, and confirm that the operating environment remains within the -40°C to +70°C range during startup and operation.
  • Connect local devices to the four copper Ethernet ports for immediate access to the edge network; use the two GE SFP slots for uplinks to a core switch or fiber backbone to maximize backhaul capacity.
  • Route and secure fiber and copper cables to minimize strain, avoiding sharp bends and ensuring strain-relief where necessary to protect connections in dusty or vibrating environments.
  • Power up the device, verify link/activity LEDs on each port, and perform a basic network test to confirm connectivity between edge devices and the core network; configure VLANs or QoS if required by your network design.

Frequently asked questions

  • Q: What is the port configuration of the LGH1000? A: It features four 10/100/1000 Mbps copper Ethernet ports and two GE SFP fiber slots for flexible uplinks and backhaul.

My dog LOVES this ball
Size: Medium, Size: Medium
Does your dog destroy tennis balls in seconds? Yes? Then your dog NEEDS this ball! It's squishy like a tennis ball, fits in ball launchers (even the cheap ones) and bounces when it hits the ground. My dog has been literally playing with this ball all day and not a single mark on it! The only bad thing is that it does not float. Definitely worth the money! Put it in your cart!

Perfect for ball demolishers
Size: Medium
The dogs love the chuck it brand. I don’t know what it’s made of but they go crazy over them. Will not play with another ball. Wonder if it’s “laced” with an addictive scent. Have pits. Very durable. Not able to chew to pieces. Last for about 6 months before there is a small break. I keep a back up because when the ball goes missing the house is in chaos. 😆 🤪

Chuckit medium rebound balls
Size: Medium
My 8 month old German shepherd dog loves these balls. They are easy to throw, they bounce great, they are very chewable! She keeps one in her mouth most of the time. It satisfies her need to chew and she does not chew other things. She drops it in the water and lets the hole fill up and drinks that way. The only problem that has caused is suction in her mouth and difficulty in dislodging it for her. However, she would be lost without it!

These are definitely indestructible
Size: Medium
Both of my dogs can destroy a ball in a matter of minutes if I let them play with them (supervised) as is. Well not with these balls. They are the ONLY ones I have found that are 100% indestructible. Please only let your dogs play with these as a toy when supervised though. They go really far when throwing them, so both dogs get a good amount of running and exercise with these. I also bought these because they have the hole in the middle of the ball which is very important in the event that a dog gets one stuck at the back of their throat. This allows them to breath unlike those without this hold. It's an unlikely event, but as dog owners, we all need to be aware of this and educate ourselves on what to do if this SHOULD happen. This isn't a scare tactic, nor a reflection of this particular brand, it can happen with any type of ball. My two dogs are about 45ish lbs and the size is perfect for them, I don't want anything smaller than this. They love them. There is no annoying squeak. Really easy to wash after use. Some balls take forever to get the slimy saliva off, but these don't.
