The zip baffle is equipped with Softie Premier synthetic insulation which is washable and provides superior heat retention. The randomized fine filament fibers of Softie Premier insulation trap warm air to retain heat even when thoroughly wet. Softie Premier insulation does not lose thermal characteristics over time, even when stored in the compression stuff sack for long periods of time without use. The Special Forces Zip Baffle connects the Special Forces 1 and Special Forces 2 sleeping bags together into the complete system. Connecting the two with this zip baffle allows you to enter and exit the sleeping bags with one quick release zipper. The zip baffle weighs 10 ounces and features windproof, water repellent Paratex Light fabric.
