Victron SmartSolar MPPT 250/60-Tr: High-Performance Solar Charge Controller for 12V, 24V, and 48V Systems

Advanced MPPT Technology for Maximum Energy Harvest

The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 250/60-Tr is a professional-grade solar charge controller engineered to extract the maximum available power from your photovoltaic array. Utilising ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT), this controller continuously adapts to changing light conditions, delivering up to 30% more energy compared to traditional PWM controllers and up to 10% more than slower MPPT alternatives. This is particularly beneficial under partially cloudy skies or intermittent shading, where rapid adjustments are critical.

With an exceptional peak conversion efficiency of 99% and full rated output up to 40°C ambient temperature, the 250/60-Tr ensures minimal energy loss and reliable operation without the need for a cooling fan. Its advanced algorithm excels in partial shading scenarios, intelligently locating the global maximum power point rather than settling for a local peak, thereby safeguarding your energy yield in real-world installations.

Seamless Connectivity and Intelligent Control

Built-in Bluetooth Smart enables wireless configuration, monitoring, and firmware updates via the VictronConnect app on your smartphone or tablet. Access real-time data on solar production, battery state of charge, and historical performance. For wired integration, the VE.Direct port allows connection to GX devices (such as the Cerbo GX or Color Control GX), PCs, or other compatible equipment, forming the backbone of a comprehensive energy management system.

The controller supports fully programmable charge algorithms alongside eight pre-defined battery presets, selectable via a rotary switch. This flexibility accommodates a wide range of battery chemistries, including lithium, AGM, and gel. An internal temperature sensor automatically compensates charge voltages, while optional external sensing via a Smart Battery Sense or BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor provides precise voltage and temperature data at the battery terminals for enhanced accuracy.

Robust Protection and System Integration

Designed for demanding environments, the SmartSolar MPPT 250/60-Tr incorporates extensive electronic safeguards: PV reverse polarity protection, PV short circuit protection, and over-temperature protection with power derating. The unit is rated IP43 for electronics and IP22 for the connection area, making it suitable for indoor, unconditioned spaces. A programmable relay can be configured for alarms or load control, and a remote on/off terminal allows integration with a VE.BUS BMS for lithium battery systems.

Up to 10 controllers can be synchronised via Bluetooth for parallel operation, enabling scalable solar arrays. The 35 mm² (AWG 2) battery and PV terminals accept large gauge cable, minimising resistive losses in high-current installations.

Key Features

  • Ultra-fast MPPT tracking for up to 30% greater energy harvest versus PWM
  • 99% peak conversion efficiency with fanless, silent operation
  • Built-in Bluetooth for wireless monitoring and configuration via VictronConnect
  • VE.Direct port for wired integration with GX monitoring systems
  • Advanced partial shading detection to lock onto the optimal power point
  • Comprehensive electronic protection: reverse polarity, short circuit, over-temperature
  • Programmable charge profiles for lithium, AGM, gel, and other battery types
  • Supports 12V, 24V, and 48V battery banks (36V with software tool)

Format: Hardcover
Great collection of work from the remake, was really cool to see how they took the old environments and really detailed and updated them for the new game.

Loved this book
Format: Paperback
Assassin's Creed is my all-time favourite game series; I am enthralled by it! Sadly, right now I moved to te U.S. (I am not originally from here) and thus I had to leave my Xbox behind; well it actually belongs to my brother. My point is, while I am saving up for a new Xbox and to buy the Assassin's Creed games again, reading this novel and the one from Brotherhood has been what has saved me from going insane. I don't know why several people haven't liked it. I had no problems whatsoever with the author's style, and actually this novel helped me to better comprehend what went on in ACII because honestly some assassinations had me a bit confused and happened so fast that I didn't understand who I was killing or why. Great purchase, and I am currently reading Brotherhood! :) Insieme per la vittoria! :D

True to the game and high on philosophy, but no it's not the Fanfic lover's playground....
Format: Paperback
I read several reviews of this book and was wary initially of buying (to the point where I read parts of it in a bookstore before buying it here). Finally finished it and 500 odd pages later, this is not just a pithy sewing together of cutaway scenes and story clips. Is it classic literature? No, but it wasn't meant to be. It's sometimes hard to translate action in to book form, especially when done in the luscious hi-def glory that Ubisoft was able to achieve. But what it lacks in geographical description, it makes up in explaining and demonstrating the philosophy of the story of the game itself. You understand what makes an Assassin different from a Templar, you understand what made Ezio tick, what made Altair tick and while it is subtle, it is genuine characterization and if you don't get the memo, then you just aren't trying. While some complained because Sophia wasn't painted with more detail or that the relationship between some of the characters could have been explored better (like the political tension in the royal family for example), I'd still argue it wasn't necessary. This is not Suleiman's story or Yusuf's story, nor was it a love story though there is one; it's Ezio's and Atair's stories and the simplicity of their thoughts and actions were well drawn. It wasn't meant to fill in the gaps, fanfic is much more satisfactory in those cases. The only drawback of this book is that sometimes it borders on being preachy, but I don't think the makers of this game were exactly subtle about whose corner they wanted you to be in. True to the game, absolutely direct about it's philosophy, and it doesn't try to masquerade as anything more than it should be for 10 dollars.
