“Incredibly rich with wisdom and insight that will leave the reader, whether single or married, feeling uplifted.” —The Washington Times

Based on the acclaimed sermon series by New York Times bestselling author Timothy Keller, this book shows everyone—Christians, skeptics, singles, longtime married couples, and those about to be engaged—the vision of what marriage should be according to the Bible.

Modern culture would have you believe that everyone has a soul mate; that romance is the most important part of a successful marriage; that your spouse is there to help you realize your potential; that marriage does not mean forever, but merely for now; and that starting over after a divorce is the best solution to seemingly intractable marriage issues. But these modern-day assumptions are wrong. Timothy Keller, with insights from Kathy, his wife of thirty-seven years, shows marriage to be a glorious relationship that is also misunderstood and mysterious. The Meaning of Marriage offers instruction on how to have a successful marriage, and is essential reading for anyone who wants to know God and love more deeply in this life.

______________

Timothy Keller was born and raised in Pennsylvania and educated at Bucknell University, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and Westminster Theological Seminary. His first pastorate was in Hopewell, Virginia. In 1989 he started Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City with his wife, Kathy, and their three sons. Today, Redeemer has nearly six thousand regular Sunday attendees and has helped to start more than three hundred new churches around the world. He is the author of The Songs of Jesus, Prayer, Encounters with Jesus, Walking with God Through Pain and Suffering, and Every Good Endeavor, among others, including the perennial bestsellers The Reason for God and The Prodigal God.

Kathy Keller grew up outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and attended Allegheny College, where she led Christian fellowship groups, before attending Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She met Timothy Keller while studying there, and they were married at the beginning of their final semester. She received her MA in Theological Studies at Gordon-Conwell in 1975. Kathy and Tim then moved to Virginia, where Tim started at his first church, West Hopewell Presbyterian Church, and their three sons were born. After nine years, Kathy and her family moved to New York City to start the Redeemer Presbyterian Church.

“Having read the book through two times, I've found myself wondering how to best measure or evaluate it, but perhaps these criteria are useful: Would I want to read it with my wife or would I encourage her to read it on her own? Would I recommend it to the people in my church? In both cases the answer is an unreserved yes. In fact, I bought the audio book and listened to it with my wife and her assessment is the same as mine: Though there are many great books on marriage, this is the one we will recommend first." Tim Challies

Moisturizing, effective, pleasantly scented sunscreen
Style: Kids SPF 50, Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Style: Kids SPF 50, Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This is the go-to sunscreen our whole family has been using for years. It feels moisturizing (but not greasy) and is easy to rub in to avoid any kind of chalky, white residue. The scent is subtle and pleasant, not the strong pronounced sunscreen smell that a lot of others have. Best of all, it is effective! The bottle received is different than the one pictured on Amazon, but we’re not buying it for the bottle, so that’s okay. :) Would recommend.

I hate sunscreens, but...
Style: Kids SPF 50, Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I hate sunscreen in general--for it's texture and smell. But, being the palest family on Earth makes it a daily necessity. I was pleasantly surprised to actually like the smell of this product! It's a light fruity fragrance. It has a smooth texture like lotion and glided on my skin without being too thick or greasy and no white marks. A little goes a long way too! I could hardly believe I was putting on sunscreen and not regular body lotion. My kids had no issue with it either! They let me put this stuff on their little faces without complaint since it goes on so smoothly. Most importantly, this product did it's job and we were sunburn free. The tube is small--4 ounces--but I don't care because it's so worth having something that goes on easy and doesn't make us greasy and stinky. I bought several tubes--one for each member of the family. *If this review was helpful, please click 'yes' below. Thanks!*

It’s ok
Style: Kids SPF 50, Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Doesn’t smell like anything, especially not fruit. Seems to work well- it’s what we use on our faces. I started using this all over on my daughter because their spray version is not good.

Overall this is a very good product
Style: Kids SPF 50, Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I bought this because every sunblock I own eventually gets in my eyes and burns the living daylights out of them. I prefer to use something that isn't laden with chemicals, is cruelty free and reef safe so this looked like it would fit the bill and indeed, it does. It is a true "no tears" formula which I very much appreciate. As with so many zinc based sunblocks there's still a slight "Kabuki mask" effect but it isn't as bad as some of the other zinc products. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's easy to spread because it doesn't have a lot of "slip", doesn't glide like the non-zinc products. You do have to work with it for awhile to get rid of the decidedly chalky consistency but once you get going it seems to be okay. I think somebody else mentioned using a moisturizer before you put it on which seems like good idea even though this is supposed to be moisturizing. Would I purchase this again? I'm pretty sure I will because the "no tears" aspect of the product is important to me. I'll probably use it with a light carrier oil on my face first, let that oil sink in and then put this on top. I'll keep you posted on how that works out. Thank you, Alba Botanica, for being cruelty free and reef safe!
