There are several parts of the Smithfield Street Bridge where you can shoot and not have to worry about heavy vibrations from bus and truck traffic. The Warren Pony Truss part of the Smithfield Street Bridge over the CSX (old P&LE) is about as solid a platform as you could ask for and one of my favorite spots to shoot from on the bridge. I once saw a kid ride his bicycle up over the top this arch one afternoon. On this foggy morning it's about the only thing in solid view as the Monongahela River shrouds the rest of the bridge in a thick fog.
