Het gezicht van Rock 'n Roll werd mede gevormd dankzij de Gibson Les Paul. Deze legendarische gitaar zette de standaard voor het verloop van de ontwikkeling van de elektrische gitaar, en het is dan ook niet meer dan passend dat Gibson met de Les Paul Standard '60s een natuurgetrouwe eerbetoon uitbrengt. Deze Standard '60s is uitgevoerd in een prachtige Tomato Soup Burst finish, waardoor de AA Figured Maple top op een fraaie manier uitkomt. De hals heeft een comfortabel Slim Taper profiel en een Rosewood toets, welke is ingelegd met Acrylic Trapezoids. Met andere woorden: de goede inlays! Ook op het gebied van hardware heeft Gibson de juiste keuzes gemaakt. Zo zitten er Grover Kidney tuners op, welke een betrouwbare en stabiele performance afleveren. Naast de vertrouwde ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic brug vinden we twee Burstbucker 60's in deze Gibson Les Paul Standard '60s Tomato Soup Burst.
