SUPER VAC STATIC DISSIPATING DUCTS

Static DissipatingDuct is specialized to conduct static charges away from the airflow.

The static buildup could create a spark that would compromise safety in explosive environments.

 

  • This duct comes with a built-in, easy-to-carry bag and can be attached to another duct as an extension by merely tightening the belted cuff.

    • This quick and easy process doubles the length of the duct without the use of adapters that take up space, get lost, and take up time to install.

 

  • The duct consists of graphite fibers that conduct any charge that could build up as a result of the airflow.

    • Airflow through the standard duct builds up static charges much in the same way as walking across carpet does.

 

  • The special clip on the end of the duct must be connected to a grounding post that carries the chargeback to earth ground – usually, this is accomplished through the ground plug of the electric motor.

    • Also available with a duct adapter for use with any Super Vac smoke ejector or blower

  • Material–Single ply neoprene impregnated polyester -UL94-V-O Flame Retardancy, NFPA701, California T-19

  • Structure– Class 1 Steel Spring Wire Helix (ASTM 227)

  • Wearstrips–Heavy-duty vinyl with self-adhesive neoprene backing, APX 25-27 oz Sq/Yd. Abrasion Resistance of 18,000 cycles from H-22 wheel with 1000 gram load (FSTM 191 Method 5306)

  • Conductivity–Rated to 100,000 ohms or less per square inch

  • Length–20 ft – custom sizes available

  • Grounding– The product should be grounded on each end, with a solid means of connection. Grounding this product on one only will still provide a safe, positive means of discharging static build-up.

I ordered a plethora of new toys for Bruce to keep him occupied while I am working remotely from home. Poor guy gets so bored while I'm stuck in front of my computer 8+ hours a day. All the other toys are animated, but this one is just a big floppy chewy squeaky toy. Bruce quickly lost interest in all the other chirping, hopping, and twirling toys and fell in love with "Diny". When I opened Diny and gave it to Bruce, he had the elated and surprised look of a 3 yr old at Christmas. And he stayed that happy for hours, and then each time he picked up Diny to play. Diny became his go-to toy over all others (and there are many!). It is well made out of durable fabric, and they did not stuff it full of kapoc (I hate kapoc in dogs toys!). And it is delightfully low-tech. Normally he tears a squeaky toy apart as soon as he can isolate the squeaky mechanism. But cleverly, the squeaky box is loose in the long belly so it moves from one end to the other as the toy is handled. That made it difficult for Bruce to locate it. The toy remained in good condition for 2 weeks of near constant attention by Bruce. But yesterday he zeroed in on the squeaky box and ripped Diny to shreds. I was sad to see Diny go so soon. But boy-howdy was Bruce happy with it. I'm gonna buy another because we liked it so much. And so did I : )
