The Rocktron Chameleon is a 24-bit digital signal processing (DSP) guitar preamp that became popular in the 1990s for its advanced features and high-quality sound. It offers 12 distinct effect algorithms and full MIDI implementation, making it highly programmable and versatile for live and studio use. Key features include advanced speaker simulation for realistic miked cabinet sounds, comprehensive parametric pre and post EQ, and the renowned Hush noise reduction system. It also boasts various built-in digital effects like reverb, phasing, tremolo, flanging, pitch shifting, compression, chorus, and delay. The Chameleon is especially noted for its flexibility in creating custom sounds and its robust MIDI capabilities, making it a staple in many professional guitar rigs.
This is the OG black USA model. Not one of the remakes where the processor was changed, thus some features removed.
Condition:
- This is a used unit.
- Physically this unit is in good condition for its age. It shows some general nicks and scratches, mostly on the top and bottom of the unit. There is a little rack rash. Nothing major at all. Please see photos for further details.
- This unit has had a thorough test. We can confirm it is fully functional and sounding great.
- This unit will be supplied with a generic power supply for Australian & New Zealand buyers only. International buyers will need to source their own.
- This sale is for the rack unit and PSU (AU & NZ only). Nothing else is included in this sale.
