This Indicolite natural crystal does not appear to be a member of the Elbaite mineral family. Blue Tourmaline is also known as Indicolite and most is Elbaite This mineral usually forms as elongated rods or prismatic crystals that are heavily striated. Instead, this great specimen appears closer to Schorl, Black Tourmaline.
