We’re excited to offer seeds from Anthurium Carlablackiae (Round x GPH001) x GPH-001 (S1), a truly stunning and low-yielding selfed Carla.
Seeds harvesting started on 12/02/2026. Anthurium seeds do not ripen all at once, so harvesting will continue daily over the next two weeks. Orders will be despatched in the order they are received, with customers who ordered first receiving the earliest harvests. Due to the low yield, only a very limited quantity is available.
The mother plant is Carlablackiae (Round x GPH001) x GPH001, personally selected from Grant (@granthuriums) and Juan (@gayplantheaux). This is one of the darkest Carlablackiae in our collection, with the influence of GPH-001 clearly visible in the prominent veins and overall leaf structure. The plant is a true standout, and we absolutely love its bold, striking appearance.
Selfed seedlings like this S1 generation allow you to preserve much of the defining character of the mother plant while still offering subtle natural variation between individual seedlings.
Growing Anthurium from Seed
Place the seeds on top of lightly moist sphagnum moss rather than burying them. Keep them in a closed or semi-closed container to maintain high humidity, in bright indirect light with warm temperatures. Check moisture regularly and allow gentle airflow when possible. Germination times vary, and each seedling will develop at its own pace.
