This French silver and Mother of Pearl baby’s rattle features a lovely basket motif with flowers, a working whistle, and six attached bells. Provenance may be lacking, but one’s imagination can enjoy filling in the blanks — who gave the rattle, was it a Christening gift? We know it is marked for French silver and is in lovely condition, ready to delight another generation.
