'Trainspotting set against a grim post-Soviet backdrop.' -- Newsweek World Literature Today's Recommended Summer Reads 2016 A city-dwelling executive heads home to take over his brother's gas station after his mysterious disappearance, but all he finds at home are mysteries and ghosts. The bleak industrial landscape of now-war-torn eastern Ukraine sets the stage for Voroshilovgrad, the Soviet era name of the Ukranian city of Luhansk, mixing magical realism and exhilarating road novel in poetic, powerful, and expressive prose. Serhiy Zhadan, one of the key figureheads in contemporary Ukrainian literature and the most famous poet in the country, has become the voice of Ukraine's 'Euro-Maidan' movement. He lives in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

An immature take on Peter Parker only suitable for the most immature reader
Format: Kindle
Someday, Marvel Comics won't be controlled by white male Boomers/GenXers who make Peter Pan look well adjusted and who incessantly try to recapture a childhood that never actually existed while believing women have cooties and adult relationships are icky. But until then, we get Amazing Spider-Man by Joe Kelly, whose writing is the living embodiment of the Steve Buscemi "How do you do, my fellow kids" meme. This run is boring, trite and cliched. You could probably get a more insightful and original story by asking ChatGPT to write one for you. The only thing going for the run - so far - is that Kelly at least isn't outright aggressively antagonizing the reader unlike the previous writer. It's just...bland and mediocre.

Fantasy
Format: Kindle
It was basically two stories in one book. One was about Logan's encounter with Flower Cartel. He was sent on a mission to find out who was or were stealing Kratoan flowers. He didn't catch whodunit. But I am sure that he will find out some more about Flower Cartel later on ... Two was about vampires up to no good when it concerned mutants. When Omega Red came in on the island looking badly injured, it was reported to Logan. He thought that Omega Red was up to something and decided to investigate. He found vampires and their "master" but he still didn't know what they were up to. However, he did have some idea what Omega Red did. It ended with him not knowing of a bargain Omega Red made with the master. I am sure that Logan will find out what they are planning for him and his friends later on ...

Wolverines and Holy Knights
Format: Kindle
Fun and great artwork. It has been awhile though so the X-Men timeline confuses me. Anyways I'm a Wolverine fanboy so I liked it.
