Holley is proud to present our revolutionary high-mount accessory drive and oiling system for the Ford 7.3-liter Godzilla Engine. With our patent-pending technology, we have integrated the timing cover, oil pump, oil pan, water pump, alternator, and the option for A/C and/or P/S, all in one streamlined system. Furthermore, this versatile accessory drive is compatible with both factory crank pulleys and aftermarket damper/pulleys. Positioning an engine swap correctly is crucial, ensuring it aligns with the vehicle's original engine's crankshaft centerline. Our innovative solution achieves just that, allowing proper engine placement while providing clearance for a stock Fox Body hood (when used with a low-profile intake). Our system replaces Ford's sump-mounted oil pump with a high-capacity gerotor pump positioned behind the timing cover, gaining crucial crossmember and ground clearance. To ensure reliability, we have incorporated a proven pump design utilizing Melling sourced components (M462) that mimics the factory pressure level. Should your application require additional oil pressure, we offer a high-pressure spring kit (part# 302-102) for easy installation. Unlike most pumps that require removing the oil pan to change the pressure spring, we have introduced a first-of-its-kind external access port, allowing hassle-free spring switching. Moreover, our cast aluminum oil pan features a performance-minded windage tray and baffle, guaranteeing proper oil pickup during high G maneuvers. For extreme situations, such as drag racing, upgrade to the optional race baffle (part #302-105) to always ensure proper oil delivery. For those interested in adding an oil cooler, see Earl's part #GZ0001ERL which offers dual -8AN male fittings for this purpose. Our accessory drive system offers flexible configuration options to meet various needs. For instance, we provide different alternator choices to cater to diverse performance and electrical requirements. If you prefer a customized modular setup, you can opt to exclude the A/C and/or P/S components. Our "base kits" include everything except these optional components. Alternatively, you can choose our "Holley Complete Kit" for the most commonly selected, cost-effective combination. Holley's Godzilla High-Mount Accessory Drive is the ultimate solution for engine swaps, offering unparalleled functionality, adaptability, and ease of installation.

Great Book with a different perspective
Format: Hardcover
This will be a short review of a very long book. I ordered the book expecting more of a history of the British Navy, but this is more of a history of Britain with respect to its navy. It is still excellent and authoritative, just different than I expected. I really appreciate a somewhat different perspective than I have found in some other books. For example, any discussion of Jackie Fisher I have read previously seemed to border on the hagiographic, whereas here he seems to get a very evenhanded appraisal. A great book, highly recommended.

The Details of the Height of British Naval Power
Format: Hardcover
This is the final volume in Rodger's three part series. This coves a lot of ground that includes Britain's height of imperial/naval hegemony and then its exhaustion after two world wars. Read this book if you want to learn about the details that actually go into an important national organization like the Royal Navy. Things like politics, administration, logistics, ship design, talent pipelines, engineering difficulties, etc. Rodgers goes deep. Things like: 1) Fire control on big guns on warships is a very hard technical challenge and wasn't really solved until the 2nd World War with more advanced electronics. 2) In the coal fired age of ships, most of the navy were coal stokers. The limit of range was actually their exhaustion, not how much coal was on board. 3) Twice the number of bombs were dropped on Malta in WW2 as on London during the Blitz! 4) Britain's naval dominance was tied to economic dominance and was sea power/trading based. Sea based trade is so powerful and economical that it was cheaper to ship a ton of coal by sea than train within Britain itself! 5) Britain had a monopoly over undersea cables for global communications. They used this as a weapon to spy on enemy communications and to cut off others access to the network. Sound familiar to the SWIFT banky network today? 6) Welsh coal was the best coal. So good that the Austo-Hungarian navy stockpiled before the war enough that they used it exclusively throughout WW1.

A clear and concise book
Format: Hardcover
Fascinating book. Berntsen provides some interesting insights and recommendations on how we should fix problems at the CIA and in the national security apparatus. At a time when most critics want to destroy the Agency, Berntsen provides some plain spoken sanity. Human Intelligence, Counterterrorism and National Leadership needs to be read by anyone entering into defense, foreign affairs or intelligence - and anyone else with an interest in how the CIA works. It is a fast and enjoyable read.
