In de uitlopers van de Himalaya staan de wijnstokken voor deze Ao Yun aangeplant. In de buurt van de stad Shangri-La wordt deze blendwijn bestaande uit Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdor en Syrah gevinificeerd. Een unieke wijn uit China die maar weinig wordt geproduceerd, maar ongekend lekker is.

Een unieke Chinese wijn van Ao Yun

Aan de oever van de Mekong rivier werd na vier jaar zoeken het ideale terroir gevonden om rode wijn te produceren in China. In het noorden van Yunnan wist het wijnhuis Ao Yun de perfecte plek te machtigen. De wijngaarden liggen op een hoogte tussen de 2.200 tot 2.600 meter. Met name de Cabernet Sauvignon druif kan hier de volledige verfijning van het unieke terroir tot uitdrukking te brengen. Het terroir geniet van het ideale klimaat met temperaturen die vergelijkbaar zijn met die uit de Bordeaux. De naam Ao Yun betekent letterlijk vliegen boven de wolken, het verwijst naar de wolken die de bergtoppen bedekken. Het is in bezit van LVMH en het begon met de visie en de wens om grand cru wijnen te produceren. En dat sprookje is in vervulling gegaan. De druiven worden volledig met de hand geoogst. In de wijnmakerij volgt een strenge selectie om zeker te zijn van de hoge kwaliteit. Alleen het beste van beste is namelijk goed genoeg. Vervolgens worden de druiven zacht geperst en volgt er een temperatuur gecontroleerde fermentatie. Zodra dit is afgerond krijgt de wijn nog de nodige rust en kan het daarna gebotteld worden.

De geur en smaak van Ao Yun 2020

Met een warm rode kleur verschijnt de Ao Yun 2020 in het glas. Verwacht veel aroma’s van bramen, bosbessen aangevuld met kruidige tonen. Veel rijkdom en rijpheid in de neus. Neem even de tijd en je zult ook de aroma’s van tabak en dennen ruiken. In de mond is het een volle en ronde wijn. Romige, rijpe tannines en ook in de smaak veel rijp fruit. Een frisse en levendige wijn die met de jaren steeds mooier wordt.

Durable, Flavorful, Chew Toy

This bacon flavored scorpion shaped dog toy has been a huge hit with my Labrador. The material feels extremely durable and appears to be made from a hard nylon that can stand up to serious chewing. At first, I was skeptical about the bacon scent because I couldn’t smell anything when I opened the package. The moment my dog started chewing on it, though, the bacon scent became much more noticeable. Anyone else who doesn’t smell it immediately shouldn’t worry because it definitely seems to activate once the toy gets some use. Built Tough Enough to Handle Serious Chewers

This toy is noticeably harder and denser than standard dog chew toys, which is the whole point. My dog went after it immediately and the nylon held up through serious chewing sessions without gouging, cracking, or pieces breaking off. For a dog that destroys softer toys in minutes, this actually lasts. Based on a few weeks of use I would expect it to hold up for a month or longer depending on the dog, which is significantly better than most toys in this price range. The peanut butter groove is the engagement feature that makes a difference. Stuffing it with peanut butter or other spreadable treats keeps a dog interested longer than just chewing on it plain. The scorpion shape (though it resembles a lobster to some eyes) gives multiple parts to chew on, so the dog can rotate between the legs and tail when one section gets boring. That variety helps extend how long the toy stays interesting. Cleanup is straightforward since it is dishwasher safe, which matters after using peanut butter or other treats in the groove. The teeth cleaning claim is harder to verify in short-term use, but as a durable boredom relief toy for aggressive chewers this performs solidly. It is the kind of toy that actually justifies the price because it does not end up in the trash after a week.

This chew toy is for a medium to large-sized dog and smells like bacon, and who doesn't love bacon? The toy has a heavy-duty safe for dogs nylon core, making it virtually indestructible for aggressive, all-day chewers like my dog. I am from Louisiana, and I love all things crawfish. I thought if she didn't like it, then I could use it to decorate for crawfish parties, but she loves this toy. There is a groove for treats like peanut butter or cheese, whatever your dog is into. My dog likes carrying it around, but I don't think she understands to chew on it yet. However, she must love the bacon taste in her mouth because she hardly takes it out. I wanted her to chew on it to help clean her teeth; maybe in time, she will start. This toy is dishwasher safe after rinsing it off with soapy warm water. Just place it on the top rack and turn it on. The crawfish is smooth and non-porous, so there are no spots for bacteria to hide. I really like this crawfish, and I hope that in time my little weirdo will understand that it is meant to be chewed, not sucked on. I highly recommend this for larger dogs that love to chew, and I am happy with this order.
