Deze klassieke, gehamerde klankschaal draagt een unieke klank in zich. De samenstelling van 8 metalen, samen met de diameter en dikte, bepalen het karakter en de boventonen van elke schaal. Zo heeft elke klankschaal zijn eigen geluid en persoonlijkheid.

De schaal is handgemaakt van koper, tin en acht edele metalen (Ag, Ni, Cd, Ru, Pd, Pt, Cr, Mn). De schaal wordt assorti geleverd, met of zonder gravering aan de bovenrand.

Uitgebreide beschrijving
Het maken van een gehamerde klankschaal is een ambachtelijk proces waarin veel zorg en aandacht wordt gestoken. Elke schaal wordt nauwgezet in de juiste vorm gehamerd. Hierbij doorloopt het metaal verschillende stadia om tot een zuivere, levendige toon te komen. Koper en tin vormen samen brons, het hoofdbestanddeel van de schaal. Kleine hoeveelheden van de andere metalen geven de schaal haar bijzondere klankkleur.

Het metaal wordt in een oven gesmolten en vervolgens in een mal gegoten. Uit deze rol worden schijven gesneden, variërend in diameter en dikte. Daarna volgt het handmatige hamerproces, waarbij meerdere lagen metaal roodgloeiend verhit worden en in komvorm worden gebracht met behulp van mallen. Het hamerwerk vraagt veel vakmanschap, omdat het metaal alleen in deze gloedvolle staat flexibel genoeg is om zonder scheuren gevormd te worden.

Na de grove vorming start het verfijnde werk. De schaal wordt opnieuw verhit en met nauwkeurig hamerwerk tot haar uiteindelijke vorm en klank gebracht. Tot slot worden de schalen van binnen en buiten geschuurd, gepolijst en soms met beitels afgewerkt. Zo krijgt iedere schaal haar eigen uitstraling en warmte.

Bought it to wall mount my wifi router. The whole thing is very small, but the straps are very long, so it can support many devices. The straps also get reasonably tight. Installation is easy, it's nice that it comes with a level. Annoying that it only comes with six screws, and no drywall anchors. So you either have those, have to go get them, or screw it to a stud (which you probably should do depending on how he heavy the object you want to mount is).
