De Rosso di Montalcino toont het grote potentieel van de Sangiovese druif zonder al te veel jaren te hoeven wachten. De wijn heeft een fruitig boeket met aroma's van oa. kersen gevolgd door zachte en elegante tannines in de mond. De afdronk is lang tot zeer lang. De wijn is direct op dronk maar kan ook nog bewaard worden.

Over Casanova di Neri

Casanova di Neri Rosso di Montalcino laat zien hoe een Sangiovese in onze wijngaarden in Montalcino geproduceerd kan worden die direct gedronken kan worden. Voor de productie maken we gebruik van druiven uit toegewijde wijngaarden die ervoor zorgen dat ze dezelfde aandacht en zorg krijgen als voor productie van Brunello wijnen. De sterke identiteit van deze wijn is ook te danken aan onze selectie van Sangiovese.

Vinificatie

De selectie van de druiven voor en na het ontstelen wordt gebeurt met de hand. Daarna volgt er een natuurlijk fermentatie zonder toevoeging van kunstmatige gist. De maceratie vindt plaats in een open Kegelvormige en temperatuur gecontroleerde omgeving. De fermentatie duur 18 dagen. Vervolgens rijpt de wijn nog gedurende 12-18 maanden op hout alvorens deze op de markt komt.

I usually wear sneakers and wanted shoes that were a bit dressier for going out for dinner with my husband. I usually wear a size 7 but bought these in a size 6 1/2 as recommended. I tried them on with bulky wool blend socks that I normally wear, and they fit perfectly. Since I intend to use these boots for dress, I didn't wear them for a long period of time, but found them to be comfortable, and the heal was not too high. The top of the boot is high enough, that it would still be covered by pant legs when you sit down. I also like that the zipper opening in the side made them very easy to get on and the zipper worked very well without sticking. I also like the stacked heal vs. a higher, thinner heal. Although I used to wear 3" spike heals when I was younger, I am now 77 years old, I am more comfortable and feel safer with a thicker heal. Overall, I very much like these ankle boots, and would recommend them. I hope this review is helpful for you.
