De Ramos Pinto LBV Port is een toegankelijke en rijke port uit Portugal. Geboren in de Douro-regio, waar de druiven handmatig worden geoogst en voorzichtig gevinifieerd. Deze LBV (Late Bottled Vintage) port is een blend van Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca en Sousão. De port rijpt 4 tot 6 jaar in grote eikenhouten vaten van Vila Nova de Gaia om volle, rijpe smaken te ontwikkelen zonder te overweldigend te zijn.

Smaak en geur zijn uitnodigend: denk aan sappige kersen, pruimen en een hint van chocolade en kruiden. De afdronk voelt zacht en afgerond dankzij de fluwelige tannines. Deze port is heerlijk met pure chocolade, kaas of zelfs stevige stoofgerechten. Serveer op 14–18 °C voor de perfecte balans.

Wijnhuis Ramos Pinto
Ramos Pinto werd in 1880 opgericht en combineert wijngaarden op zowel hoog als laag gelegen percelen, met verschillende bodemsoorten zoals schist en graniet. Ramos Pinto is beroemd om zijn innovatie en kwaliteit. Een leuk feitje: men verzamelt druiven van meerdere Quinta’s (wijnhuizen), waaronder Bom Retiro en Ervamoira, en wijnmaker João Nicolau de Almeida selecteert per oogstjaar de beste vaten om port te maken.
